Peter Symonds is a non-selective state sixth form college and one of only two state institutions listed in the top eight contributors of students to Oxford and Cambridge nationally in a Sutton Trust survey. Since 2000, an average of 47 Peter Symonds students per year have been offered places at Oxbridge. At any one time, there are over 150 ex-Symonds students studying at Oxford and Cambridge.

Yes, I personally think there are so many other factors to choosing the right school for your child. Plus who knows where your child's passion lies, what if the course they want oxbridge or Ivy league don't offer them?

只不過係我自己個人愚見，實在不能作準，就請見諒了！

其實我發覺好多家長都有自己跟進或補習，所以我覺得可能我要求太高，也許太緊張唔定！

博增加入Oxbridge機會
亦有追求各方面平衡不側重學術

都唔係嘅，聽落你小朋友能力高，但學校程度偏淺未能配合，轉校都無可厚非。

Thanks for your information. I'll be honest, im not sure all parents here are asking about Oxbridge entrance with those intentions. But it is interesting to learn that parents use that as a representation of how good a school is. And I don't think it needs to be a very special subject. I personally feel the courses on offer from Oxbridge are quite limited because they are quite traditional universities after all. There are graduates from there end up doing jobs unrelated to their courses. But it is subjective as to whether that is a good thing or bad thing.

成日都聽人講移左民去英國讀公立學校，等於慳番幾百萬向香港讀國際學校。

但其實英國啲public school真係 ...

如果仲係比較學校我覺得香港國際好啲，在外國就學習獨立多啲
