11 plus sample question:

Marco, Laura, Peter, Ben and Sally are out shopping for jackets. Ben and Laura want waterproof jackets, Peter and Sally want brightly coloured jackets with hoods, Laura and Marco want lightweight jackets and Marco and Ben want brightly coloured jackets but with a warm lining.

Out of the following statements, which one must be true? Write your answer in the answer box below.

A. Sally and Peter want different types of jackets.
B. Only two people do not want brightly coloured jackets.
C. No one wants a lightweight jacket with a hood.
D. Sally wants a coat with a hood and a warm lining.
E. Four of them do not want waterproofs.

KIMLIFEINUK, 想請教下你, 如果一個讀普通中文小學的香港學生, 如冇準備過, 就咁考11+, (你當佢大概全班10名內, 成績叫幾好), 其實係咪冇可能考到?

其實我覺得應該試下，我去年都係六、七月開始操卷，主要係英文生字要開始早D背，我唸本地學校數學應該比較強，有優勢，我女的國際學校數學實在太淺，所以比較吃力。

主要卷分：

Verbal reasoning (語言）
Mon verbal reasoning (圖案)
Maths


但如果到考試當天都完全無做過papers, 我看比較難pass, 因為個試既問題格式有些特別，須要練習下先會容易D明白同快D。如果唔熟佢問既格式，睇題目都可能浪費幾分鐘以上！

但好難估結果會係點！我當初都唔覺得我個女pass到

This gov doc explain the whole secondary curriculum, look at page 6, they have a very clear table

However it is up to the school to choose what the core subjects are sometimes if it doesn't deviate from the national guidelines.
My daughter has to do English Literature in year 9 and she will have to do English Literature GCSE (have to, not a choice), so I guess many schools are having English Literature as a core subject (have to do subject)

also science and Maths too (have to do science and Maths GCSE)

best to go before year 6 so u can take the 11 plus exam.

當地local學校歧視勁嗎？小朋友適應嗎？

Thanks. 不過我小朋友今年已經升中，應該只可以插班，所以諗緊應該中二定中三轉過嚟讀比較好

My daughter loves uk because she likes the house there, much bigger than HK. She seems to be fine, she doesnt really think about it so much, to be honest.


當地local學校歧視勁嗎？


This is hard to say, it really depends on what kind of kids u happened to come across, if one is unlucky and came across some bullies, life can be difficult, however, u can always report the issues to school and seek help.

考政府學校要去英國考

考私校大多數可以係香港考

Agent 應該係話私校，因為政府學校係免費的，應該無 agent 做

謝謝你，其實係唔係一定要讀grammar school先好？Outstanding or Good嘅一定成績無咁好嗎？我發現多Grammar schools嘅區，治安好似都無咁好咁。。。。
