你之前係咪無留意商科既課程？
之前都有JM講過去外國升學，M1, M2既重要性。
另外，就算响香港讀，M1既知識亦對讀商科重要，否則讀大學都會吃力。

你可以參考一下。
如果你女讀core數已經吃力，有可能反映佢都唔適合讀商科的。
又或者你考慮下自修返M1，據說有啲學校都只係減少core math課程來讀M1, M2。

考升中中學時，當時只打算孩子係香港讀大學，所以當年只思考中學提供的DSE高中選修科組合及有咩野選修科揀。當年腦裏無想過及無計劃過孩子會到海外留學。

之前從無研究加拿大大學對DSE 要求，只係呢個星期深入研究及有好心地前輩EK網友分享DSE申請加拿大大學資訊及加拿大大學相關DSE 科目要求 web site俾我，我才驚醒。

其实好多年前陳sir有提过，就算係香港既大学修Econ, 中四揀科未必要讀过Econ, 反而M1仲紧要尐……

如今之計系睇餸食飯，研究加果边大学其他科目，有乜可以申請，唔好再諗商科｡

其實，一直無想 & 計劃過孩子大學會讀 Econ，因為之前有啲 Post 網友分享過大學 Econ 要計好多數，數底要好。所以，我及孩子諗大學讀 Management, Marketing, Logistics， Operation Management 之類之嘛，點之原來呢啲科目 加拿大 top 啲大學都要M1／M2！

我啱啱同孩子講過，最壞最差的話加拿大大學讀文學院嘅科目 e.g.Sociology, Environmental Studies 之類 ，依家有心理準備，2年後呢個時候報海外大學時會更有把握入到shortlist 嘅大學及學科嘛！

我睇番大学科目……Engineering, Architecture, Environmental studies, Computing, Physio, Commerc, Econ, Pharmacy, Agriculture，Project mgt....反正通通要数……剩番Arts /Music /Languages /Nursing /Psychology /Global Studies/ Social Work呢尐先無要求数……不过唔要求数果尐，支筆又要好寫得先讀得掂……

For students who are interested in applying to the Faculty of Science at Canadian universities, it is very important for you to double check the subject requirements as most universities will ask for two of the three sciences (biology, chemistry, physics). For example, if you are applying to Environmental Science, you will be ask to have a strong foundation in chemistry and/or physics (simply having biology will not be enough).

或者掉轉咁諗，你想讀好既學校，好既學校當然成績有返咁上下，學生要出到好成績，就要有能力讀得好，就好似香港名校成日講有好麵粉先出到好麵包。
一個學位要求既學科，必然係有關係，讀工程讀商科要數，讀醫要Chem?
你女想讀既科，如果無修嗰啲科，就算收你都唔會易讀得上。
不如，你哋可以諗清楚到底自己強項係咩科？想讀咩科？可以讀咩科？

如果，如果能隨心選擇及決定唔需要考慮及面對現實，孩子依家仍然念念不忘選修科讀中國文學及APL用中文讀心理學，呢個星期仲同我講想轉修呢兩科（佢學校S4呢年仍可俾學生申請轉選修科的）。如果，如果係考香港嘅大學，孩子想讀呢兩科我絕對支持無反對。但APL 全部科目英國及加拿大（日本都好似係）大學唔計。

小時了了，我覺得你自己依家有d亂，可能都係因為覺得唔知如何確定科目，興趣愛好vs現實，暫時讀的科目vs大學收生標準，你自己期望vs女。
不如返去最基本的幾個points, 究竟想讀邊科？去邊處讀？大學要求方面如何去match, 差些什麼，如何去補救。一條路行唔通，有冇第二個alternative?

全家一起討論一下，大致理清楚方向，再調整策略。

似乎，首先要搞清楚自己將來嘅升學去向，若未有確實路向，又有機會修讀M1/M2，而自己決定唔選，所謂集中火力針對2X/3X，呢個似乎係個人選擇，同DSE嘅國際認受性有幾大直接関係～～～

計到盡去決定選修甚麽科，如何慳力，亦似乎係不少家長嘅認為，唔信？可以去中學區望吓吧～～～

同意，宜家先12月，又係中四，為何唔同學校商量，可否現在插班M1/2，可能最直接～～～

星期六我都聽左英國大學的講座，如果想入醫療系，最好就要讀齊Bio  Chem，工程就Phy M2  Chem，如果選錯elective 好多有名的科目係唔會收，所以我即刻同仔講，你好呢幾個月同我諗清諗楚你想報邊樣，因為真係好煩

學校有限制，中四只可以選3X or 2X M2, 唔可以3X M2, 數學一直都Top，一定選M2，但佢其他科就成日未諗清楚，我想叫佢自修IAL 包低，佢又唔想考，考DSE 都真係幾煩
