Any comments on HKA?

Are the teachers caring? And how's the students mix?

You may need to ask in FB Hong Kong school, not many Local kids in the school but mainly foreign kids so BK may not have parents comment

But I heard they are very caring and community feel school.

It's one of the most "international" IS in Hong Kong. Very diversified student mix. The teachers are very caring. It's a good school in general but to some local parents this school may not be their cup of tea. Depends on what you are looking for.

I guess not very academically focused , too ‘freed’ , too much freedom, not strict enough, kids too loud etc. Typical American curriculum style. And this school is quite far and not well known .

I would rather say the school is not pushy and 外補is not popular for western families. In terms of discipline many local parents think it is loose but this is just an impression. The school puts emphasis on teaching the students how to respect others. Whenever a student does not behave such as being rude to classmates or teachers the student will go to see the principal and parents will receive email from the principal or teachers.

If someone is looking for real western style education, the school is a good one. But if you are not confident of such education style, the school is definitely not suitable for your child because you will feel painful by sending your child there.

I mean for those parents who have local school mindset, such as emphasizing academic results and only looking at the IB score to choose schools, this school definitely is not their cup of tea.
