I'm parent of DPS current student. The English level is high in DPS and demanding on parents' education background, otherwise, student is difficult to follow the pace. We buy a DSE level English grammar book for my son to practice this year.

DG DB 等學校高小嗰陣都未可以話自己高中程度，DPS 居然可以？

BTW，由於 DSE 係唔洗考 grammar，而我亦睇過 DSE grammar 書/練習，難度唔高，都係小學野，頂多只能講係初中，離高中 all around 英文仲有段距離。以前英文老師講，基本上小學已經學曬需要用嘅 grammar，所以中學 grammar 練習識做都唔出奇，大把學校嘅學生都做到，但唔等於 DSE Level 或好高程度英文。

用 dse grammar 書去判斷學校英文程度，我覺得對英文有教深嘅學校，係一種貶低

本人文中除對DPS外並沒有對其他學校作出任何評論。請不要過份演譯。
回歸理性討論。高中程度都會有很大分別。5星星或3級合格都是高中程度。對嗎？

唔需要誇大DPS學生既能力，如果英文真係咁掂，相信好多極重視英文既神校同B１名校都會搶DPS既學生，可惜現實並必如此。

至少每年入到MCS, MSS, SPCS，SJC之類極重英文能力既名校係可以話係絕無僅有。每年仲有不少DPS小六學生家長（尤其係女生家長）係要傍徨到升中派位結果公佈個一日。

資助學校的學生能力及家長背景高低差別大這點同意。所以學生跟得上進度就好，每年頭10名男仔去DB。跟吾上的就各安天命。
跟得上有信心可去DB, 又何須現階段花錢去讀直資或私立？

除非神童或者事前有密集訓練，否則 11 歲去考 DSE，我覺得攞 3 都有啲難度。
咁我都理性討論，我睇過 DPS 高小教材，亦知有個專補 DPS 嘅英文導師。我認同 DPS 係相對有比普通學校教深，亦係比福馬、CSK 英文深，但肯定冇高中程度囉。

英文攞 3 都叫有高中程度的話，咁你對高中英文程度呢個定義真係好低門檻。Paper 2 嘅 3 真係好麻麻，我敢肯定大把一線小學生都寫得更好。你可以去買 past paper 畀個仔做，睇下阿仔能力去到邊。如果攞到 5 的話，可以即刻上黎 EK 分享下，一定大把人讚好。我都讚。我認為如果有高中程度，英文 DSE 起碼有 5。4 就接近返初中/英文好掂嘅小學生。得罪講句，英文攞 3 都算高中程度嘅話，你真係侮辱 DPS 同其他一線學校。

DPS 係咁出色嘅話，升中肯定唔會收收埋埋。冇全盤數據，都起碼講下自己學校入咩學校或者英中百分比，威下曬下都好吖，仲可以吸引多啲優良學生叩門、插班。

點解要入直私，可以有幾個原因：1. 間學校多仔仔過 DPS 入 DB，唔係入 DB 都入 SPCC、SJC 等 2. 間直私升中靚仔又公開過 DPS 3. 人地嗰個係女女，DPS 女女升中冇仔仔咁著數 4. 人地讀直屬、龍校，升中保障大過你好多。5. 間直私近屋企。

如果手上有 DPS 同英華的話，我諗好多家長會放 DPS。叩到喇沙同 DPS，除非有細妹或者非常鍾情 DPS，否則都衝曬過去喇沙。叩到 Maryknoll 同 DPS，啲女仔肯定衝曬去 Maryknoll。

呢位家長看來對於我向 DPS 的抨論好有意見。處處針對。缺乏理性討論。 都係少說話為妙。
P.S. 不要和傻人嗌交，因為永遠嗌不贏。

If you wish to apply for a place in Primary One, you may write to us in May, using the form provided for your downloading at www.dps.edu.hk. The form will only be available in May. Only the requested information will be considered, so there is no need to send us any other additional information. Recommendation letters are not required.

If you have submitted a Choice of School Form for Central Allocation by the Education Bureau, you may still submit a Transfer Student Application to us, however, you must also check the Central Allocation results on 3rd and 4th June 2020. If your child is allocated a Primary One place at DPS by the Education Bureau through Central Allocation, your transfer application will be cancelled, but you must register the place by following all government procedures on the 9th or the 10th June 2020 before the closing time, otherwise the place will be cancelled. Thank you for your interest in a school place at DPS.
