Hi, got offer from both. We look for a happy, all rounded british curriculum primary school. Plan to migrate to the UK after the primary education. Any parents could share their experiences. Thanks.

hi, congrats. as both do British curriculum either school would be fine if you plan to migrate to UK later. i have friends' kids in both schools and mums are very happy with both. is there any issue in particular that you want to know for the best fit for your child?

Happy to know that :) Kellett used to have 80% British students, is it still the case? Coz I worried will there be any discrimination to HK kids?
Which school could give a smooth transition to studying in the UK after the primary education? Will they give advice & help on this?
Thanks!

We have the same challenge, NAIS and THS, THS is having most of foreign students and don’t know NAIS, we can only guess from school website and YouTube video is around 30%? Did u join the school tour?

There is a good international mix at Kellett, yet HK mums don't feel discriminated. same for NAIS too. In this respect both schools are the same.

As for UK school advice, I believe Kellett doesn 't provide it as a named service (instead of that provided by Shrewsbury for example) as they have their own secondary school. That being said, many kids esp expats leave UK for secondary schools. Do you favour Kellett more now?

NAIS adheres to 20% local passport strictly with lower years admissions now, but you can see from their fb page that in upper years, there are more Asian faces. Is Harbour school a through train school up to secondary?

Yeh, I did go to the school tours. I think it’s important to get a feeling in advance. I didn’t go to the THS one; for NAIS, I think it has a good mix of students. Just that Lam Tin is a bit far from where I live. What curriculum does THS provide?

You read my mind 👍🏻 I’m more to the Kellett side coz the campus is closer to where I live. But I just found that their school bus service is not door to door, which surprised me. You have any idea about it?

Harbour is also through train and US curriculum, we actually don’t really concern on curriculum but only focus on the caring of the school and what character will be for their students, we paid for NAIS but now with THS, so still struggling, need to decide by next week.
Btw, the % doesn’t mean anything , HK people most of it will have passport if they can afford for IS.

I don’t know about the THS. I do think NAIS has a good mix & teachers are nurturing too. My only concern is its location.

Hey all we just got an offer from NAIS for lower kindergarten. Obviously the school fee is quite expensive, can I ask if there is any other big item. Is it true that eca is free in nais? Also I would like to learn about their chinese lessons. I saw from some posts that they have streams. And most advanced ones are based on Singapore curriculum

I'm not a current parent but heard someone said there are many (like over 60 types to choose from). Can any current parents enlighten us on this too? I guess no ECA in the pre schools?

NAIS ECAs start at K2(Reception), in Early year campus, can choose eg.STEAM, Julliard Dance club(to experience the fabulous Julliard Dance curriculum), gardening club, multi sports, cooking, story reading, gymnastics etc.YES, it's free of charge and students can choose ECAs to join Mon to WED.

For primary and secondary, there are much more ECAs choices to join, before school, lunch time and also after school,  besides free ECAs, can also choose ECA on Thur run by external providers where a free applies.
