For candidates using A level results in their applications this summer, they may be interested to take a look at the following predictions for CAGs of 4 A*s estimated (by someone else) from this source and some binomial distributions to estimate the probability of each grade changing:
The following caution has also been given alongside the above predictions.
Important: It's worth noting that, given you'll know where you're likely to be ranked better than anyone else, you should factor that in when you're looking at these predictions. Also, if you know your school has given especially high or low predictions or has an especially good or bad track record, take that into account too. Especially considering the lack of data Ofqual have published, they're worth taking with a pinch of salt.
