May I know the comment about CAPCL? Is there any linkage between CAPCL & CAIS? Thanks!

No linkage, but similar, more Chinese subject, mathematics will use Chinese to teach but use English book, some subjects will use both Chinese and English

CAPCL is IS but NO restriction on % local ...
CAIS said that no connection with CAPCL...

All the students in CAIS came from CAPCL before it closed down for renovation in 2017.  They both are under the same organization and also run the Alberta curriculum. They are two separate schools, but the current head of CAPCL came from CAIS.
From their information sessions, it seems CAPCL's Chinese focus is higher than CAIS..and CAPCL is a cheaper version of CAIS...but of course, CAPCL is smaller and has less facilities.

And CAPCL only offers primary school education, while CAIS offers both primary and secondary education.

you mean CAIS will use Chinese to teach Maths? How about the Bible?

Bible I don’t know, maybe half Chinese half English, some subject will teach in both Chinese and English.

Has anyone been arranged an interview? We’ve been told interviews will been held from late Oct during the info. session, but have not got any information from the school. Wondering if it’s problem with our application ☹️

CAIS teach all in English except Chinese in Mandarin.



CAPCL: In addition to Chinese lessons, students will study mathematics and one of the specialty subjects using Mandarin. The specialty subjects are art, Bible, health, music and physical education.

Yes. We had the interview yesterday, u may call the school to ask details. What grade are u apply ?

We apply for preparatory.  Interview day may be different  from G1 and G2

We have interview on Wednesday too, we also apply preparatory too.

Group interview (5kids) around 45 mins.  My girl didn’t say anything but she was happy after interview.

My girl said the teacher play with them , and tell story, and then play puzzle, also have one on one interview.
