請問哪個 College 會比較推薦? 還是 open college 比較好?

睇學生本身的要求，科目選擇，興趣，目前中學的推薦，等等。

因見到話有些 College 資源會多啲，所以想問問。

LLLT

Balliol college 是其中一家。在Oxford 市中心、excellent academic facilities, wide range of sport facilities, good student support (have a chaplain, dean...). 可惜 男多女少, lots of tourists 和 Boris Johnson 是校友。

St John  都好好，是最有錢的college（cheap accommodation, cheap food..), accommodation on main central site.

New college也可以考慮，但是比較難入。

You want to attend the richest Oxford college and someone has replied. If wealth of the institution is the key consideration, perhaps you should go to the richest country (USA) and, if possible, the richest university (Harvard).

請教，New College 難入的原因是?

申請 bursar較容易，宿舍設施完善，Strong academic( high teaching standard)。
聽聞有些colleges 有自己prefers school lists。所以，最好問清楚老師才報名。

If the course is not among the popular ones, i.e. not many places offered, suggest to choose the larger colleges with more places.  Proximity to the departmental buildings and/or town centre may also be considered. Some scholarships, like Jardine, have limitation on the college choices. For comparison of academic performance and ranking, may refer to the Norrington Table:

亦要留意有啲科目唔係每個college都有，要check清楚你想報嗰科喺你想報個College 有冇offer.

總括來講，跟上面條 link 講既 good reasons 揀就可以了。Oxford 個 pooling system 會 ensure 所有"合適"的學生都會得到學位，每年都有大約30%學生會被 reallocate 去不是當初選擇的 college，所以揀邊間 college 同最終會否得到學位關係不大。
