Agree, knowing more than one language is definitely an advantage, not to mention knowing a language helps a person understand the culture in which the language belongs.
What's really interesting is my son is more motivated to learn Cantonese now that he realises a lot of his friends at RC can speak more than one language. These include Chinese children, biracial children and children whose parents speak more than one language at home whether that be Japanese, Spanish etc.

I think this is very positive and really this is what an IB education is all about, "creating a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect".
