What is AEIS

International Students are to take part in the Admissions Exercise for International Students (AEIS) if they wish to seek school admission to mainstream MOE schools.

You can apply for the DSA-JC if you fulfil the age requirement for the level. P.S. 因為星加坡國家好近香港, 係亞洲文化比較保守同香港文化好似, 而星加坡經濟模式同香港幾十年來都係競爭對手又係亞洲金融及物流中心.


星加坡 vs 加拿大, 如果阿女去加拿大留學, 加拿大留學費用平啲 (~$180,000 一年) 及日後係加拿大留底機會大好多但文化差異大. 而星加坡留學費用貴啲 (如果係讀國學校 ~ $250,000一年), 星加坡精英主義, 日後要留底星加坡要考入出名及好嘅政府大學才有機會日後留得底.

二、技術移民
新加坡技術移民指通過持有工作簽證，申請獲取新加坡永久居民權，主要是針對大學學歷以上人士、專業技術人才，被當地公司僱用並獲得就業准證後，可持准許證向移民局呈交份新加坡永久居民申請。

就業准證的等級是根據月薪來劃分，其中以等級較高的中高層管理者申請成功率最高，其次是高級技術人才，而普通職工和體力勞動者則需要6個月到1年或者更長時間申請。

申請就業准證的要求：
本科或以上學歷，有專業證書或者特殊技巧
薪金通常要求每月3,600坡元（約2萬港元）以上，而月薪6,000坡元（約3.5萬港元）以上的手持Employment Pass的申請人，方可為配偶和21歲以下的孩子申請家屬准證。

工作簽證一共分為三大類：
第一類：Employment Pass
Employment Pass（EP）是最高級的工作簽證，是一種頒發給管理層，高級專業人士和特殊工作者的工作簽證，也是最容易獲得永久居民身份的途徑。

第二類：S Passes
S Passes（SP）是新加坡政府為了吸引外國的技術人員來新加坡工作，而發出的一種工作簽證。在計劃下，申請者只須找到新加坡本地僱主，便可申請1至2年的工作准證，申請者在居留期間可無限次出入境，申請者仍被僱傭便可延期准證。

第三類：Work Permit

▌准证申请门槛提高
2017年，EP就业薪水要求从3300新币，一跃增加到3600新币；
2018年1月起，EP和SP带家属薪水要求变高，EP和符合条件的SP准证，为配偶和孩子申请家属准证，月薪要求从4000新币，变成了6000新币；为老人申请家属准则证，月薪要求从1万新币，变成了1万2新币；
2020年1月起，S pass准证月薪要求也将进一步上调到2400新币。

▌WP和SP配额缩减
按照人力部规定，新加坡公司可以雇佣的WP和SP持有者的数量受配额的限制。
新加坡人力部以公司的CPF户头作为参考标准核对所雇佣的本地劳动力，以此决定公司可以雇佣的外籍劳动力配额。

但在薪水调整后，月薪1300新币以上的新加坡公民和PR算作一个全职员工，月薪收入650新币到1300新币的新加坡公民和PR只算作兼职员工。在实际核算配额时，人力部将两个兼职员工视为一个全职员工。
不仅EP、SP、WP的申请成功率会大幅度降低，就连目前已经持证的人员都会面临裁撤的难题。
而且，依本年的政策态势来看，要合理解决本地居民就业环境的可持续性，新加坡对外籍劳工的PR申请一定会更慎重。

所以其实可以预见的是，今后就业移民的路也许会更难实现。
但就在各种收紧的政策下，新加坡却要面临更严峻的问题。
人口短缺！

据新加坡2013年公布的《人口白皮书》规划来看，预计到了2020年新加坡总人口包括居民与非居民将在580万—600万之间，但最新公布的新加坡2018年人口简报显示，新加坡目前仅有 564万人。
距既定人口规划的600万还差36万！

人口增长只有两个常规途径：自然增长和外来移民。
然而，新加坡是国际出名的人口负增长，尽管政府用尽办法，但维持在1.2的整体生育率越来越低，去年，更是创造了历史新低1.14。

去年，人力部长还表示，尽管新加坡整体生育率下降，政府接纳新移民的政策并不会有重大改变。
但最近，很可能成为下届新加坡总理的王瑞杰，却在被问及新加坡《人口白皮书》将如何实现时，明确表明，“随着劳动人口减少国家需要更多人力和移民”！

难道新加坡就要迎来移民的盛世了吗？
其实并不是，新加坡也不是什么人都要。
新加坡现在缺的是人才，政府考虑移民政策基本来源于两方面的考虑，一是新移民是否能发动新加坡发展，二是新移民不能抢占原住民的就业机会，最好能为本地居民创造更好的就业环境。

而这，也为移民者放开了一条新的道路——EntrePass转永久居民！

聽起來是不是很容易？

那麼，哪些考試在新加坡可以被稱為國家型考試呢？

AEIS算不算呀？這些考試考什麼？什麼時候考？

小編一個一個來解答~
首先，在新加坡可以用來申請綠卡的最常見的3種國家型考試：
1、小學離校會考（PSLE - Primary School Leaving Examination）
2、劍橋普通水準會考（GCE 'O' Level）
3、劍橋高級水準會考（GCE 'A' Level）
其次,AEIS考試雖然也是新加坡教育部組織的統一入學考試，但是它不屬於新加坡國家型考試哈~AEIS考試成績也不能用來申請新加坡綠卡的哈~

現在我們來詳細說一下這3類能夠用來申請新加坡綠卡的國家型考試~

1.小學離校會考
小學離校會考，就是大眾理解意義上的小升初畢業考試~

小六會考一般考四門，分別是英語，作為母語的漢語、馬來語或泰米爾語任選一門，再加上數學和科學。
除了母語科目之外，其他科目都採用英語出題，英語和母語都包含口試環節~滿分分別是母語200分，英文200分，科學100分，數學100分。
每年考試時間是8月中旬到10月中旬，11月下旬出成績，教育部會根據當年的學生分數狀況，制定T score，並使用T score公式把總分折算成300滿分制。
考試題型與國內差不多，以外語為例，包括聽說、理解與應用、寫作四部分，題型有多選題、閱讀理解、單選題、短文填空等形式。
這是PSLE前兩年的數學題~

可以看出新加坡的教育是書本與生活相結合的~非常有意思的題目~
根據新加坡教育部官網數據，2017年小學離校會考通過率高達98%。
所有小學畢業生中成績最好的一部分除了申請名校，還可以申請名校中的直通車計劃，也就是IP計劃（Integrated Program,參加此計劃的孩子也相當於通過了國家考試，也可以申請綠卡～）
參加此項目的學生無需參加O水準考試，直接在中六時參加A水準考試，而其他非直通車計劃的學生則需要在中四與中六時分別參加O水準與A水準考試~

2、劍橋O水準考試
順利升入中學的孩子呢，在中學4年級時候，參加劍橋普通水準會考。
這個考試由新加坡教育部和英國劍橋大學考試局共同主辦並按照英聯邦國家標準設置的初升高考試，也就是劍橋O水準考試（O level），全英文的哈~
O水準考試科目為：英文，漢語，數學，科學（物理化學），人文學（地理歷史）等，至少選擇4門，其中英文，漢語，數學，人文學（地理歷史）是必選科目。
O水準考試報名時間是每年3月中下旬,考試時間從6月開始一直延續到11月~
根據新加坡教育部官方數據，2017年O水準考試通過率高達90%。
通過O水準考試的學生，有機會被政府理工學院錄取或被政府初級學院（大學預科）錄取，通過二年的學習，考入新加坡的政府大學！
或者憑此成績進入新加坡五所理工學院，和新加坡14所初級學院就讀，再或者也可以免試入讀英聯邦各國大學預科~（都是非常好的選擇~）

3、劍橋A水準考試
通過O水準考試的學生，被理工學校或者預科學校錄取的話，再學習兩年，就可以參加劍橋高級水準會考，也就是我們常說的A水準考試~
劍橋A水準考試（Alevel）也由新加坡教育部和英國劍橋大學考試局共同主辦，並且是英聯邦國家標準的大學入學考試哦~同樣全英文的哈~
A水準是進入新加坡公立大學的敲門磚，新加坡國立大學、南洋理工大學都是世界排名前100的頂尖名校~
如果你想進入新加坡公立大學，A水準考試是必經之路。
A水準報名時間在每年3月中下旬，考試時間從每年6月初至12月初，考試分為兩種類型：
理科(英語、數學、物理、化學、理科綜合試卷)
商科(英語、商業管理、會計、經濟、數字、商科綜合卷)
其中英語難度比較大，包括口語、看圖討論、發表觀點及論文寫作~
劍橋A水準考完2-3個月後就公佈成績，四科及格可向新加坡公立大學、英聯邦、新加坡五所政府理工學院投檔~
A水準考試成績全球認可，持A－Level成績在申請海外院校時被優先對待，該成績申請大學一年級的課程無需預科學習，並且還可以獲高額獎學金~
錄取A-Level成績的著名大學有哈佛大學、麻省理工大學、史丹福大學、耶魯大學、劍橋大學、牛津大學、帝國理工大學、加拿大多倫多大學、澳洲國立大學、悉尼大學、墨爾本大學、香港公立大學等知名大學~

Why merge? Mainly because our falling birth rates are back to haunt us, but you can read more about that here. Schools selected to merge are based on location, and the names of the new schools will simply be the combination of the 2 JC names, with the older JC coming first.

Admission is not guaranteed, and is subject to the international students meeting the college’s admission criteria and availability of vacancies.

For students from International Schools

Nanyang JC has accepted students who have graduated from secondary schools in Malaysia, Indonesia, the People's Republic of China and India, among other countries. As the examination system differs from country to country, we will consider such applications on a case-by-case basis.

International students seeking admission to Nanyang JC may apply to take the qualifying tests administered by the Principals' Academy of Singapore. The academy will advise the applicants on the junior colleges they have qualified for based on the results of the tests and met the criteria set. More information may be obtained at http://pact.sg/

International students who wish to apply for admission to ASRJC are required to sit for the Junior College Principals Academy Certification Test (J-PACT) conducted by Principals Academy Inc (PAI). For details on the test format and examination schedule, please visit the J-PACT website.

International students who have passed the test and wish to be considered for admission to ASRJC can obtain the application form by clicking here. Please submit the completed application form, J-PACT test results and other supporting documents (testimonial, examination results, co-curricular records, etc) from previous educational institutions through postage mail or in person to the JC1 Dean. All relevant documents must reach the College by 7 January 2019 to be considered for the 2019 JC1 admission.
Shortlisted applicants will be called up for an interview and further qualifying tests in English and Mathematics in mid-January to ascertain their suitability for admission and desired subject combination.

International students with good academic results and active co-curricular involvement are welcome to apply to pursue a junior college education in Yishun Innova Junior College from 01 October 2018 to 04 Jan 2019.

International Students (IS) seeking admission to YIJC are required to sit for a centralized assessment (J-PACT - Junior College Principals Academy Certification Test) conducted by Principals Academy Inc (PAI).

The J-PACT results only provide a benchmark for all international students seeking admission to junior colleges in Singapore and do not in any way guarantee a place in any junior colleges. For information and instructions on J-PACT test schedule /fees and important notes for application, please visit J-PACT website.

Applicants who have passed the JPACT test and wish to apply for admission to Yishun-Innova Junior College would also need to fulfil the following application prerequisites and take the college-based placement test(s) to ascertain their eligibility for admission and subject combinations.

1. Applicant’s year of birth is from 02 Jan 2000 to 31 Dec 2002.
2. Passed the JPACT test.
3. Have good academic results from 2018 examination results in the previous school, scoring at least five distinctions in 5 different subjects;
•1 distinction in English Language,
•1 distinction in Mathematics,
•1 distinction in Science or Physics or Chemistry or Biology,
•1 distinction in Humanities subject or Geography or History or English Literature,
•1 distinction in Mathematics or Science or Physics or Chemistry or Biology

•documents pertaining to educational qualifications and schooling history
•documents pertaining to personal particulars (eg birth certificate and passport)

•checklist of application for school admission of international students (checklist to be given and completed in our college).

4. Incomplete or applications received after the closing date will not be considered.
Selection Process
1. Shortlisted candidates will be scheduled to sit for entrance tests and an interview. Entrance tests are set for the relevant subjects:
•English Language (compulsory)
•Mathematics
•Physics
•Chemistry
•Biology
•Mother Tongue Language and Literature
•Art aptitude test

2. The schedule of the entrance tests will be made known to shortlisted applicants. Entrance test dates are currently scheduled on 3 Jan & 4 Jan 2019, and 10 Jan & 11 Jan 2019. Candidates are strongly encouraged to prepare well. Each applicant is only allowed to take the entrance tests once.
