2019 IB result

RC今年有3個狀元, 應該是歷年最好！但同時，今年的平均成績34.7， 差過不少學校。很喜歡RC，所以不是好明白，如何評價RC的學術水平？

如果係細校，平均分都可能被一兩個低分的學生而拉底，或一兩個高分拉高。RC 係大校，我就唔識comment 了。都有可能因為中文要考中文A , 所以低少少。

今年整體合格率是95%，即是有約7位學生不合格，這是近年較少見的現象，也把mean score拖低不少。寄望明年整體表現回穩。

RC有提供career related program, 今年有八位學生參加，他們的成績不錯。在香港升學的話，出路主要是SCAD 及APA。

吓，mean score 唔係計所有有考ibdp 的學生？唔合格就唔計？間間學校都係咁計mean?

I heard, in particular SC, those who got 45 full mark in IB are transferred from local elite schools ...

I doubt if it’s true and this is definitely not a general phenomenon. In fact a lot of local students need to catch up the English from second to first Lang level unless they do Eng B, which is undesirable in international school. In GSIS they have extra eng classes for local transferee and no new comers are accepted after y7 cuz that’s not enough time for “modification”.  
Say FIS got 100% passing rate and all the 3 full markers have been with FIS for 12 years.
GSIS also got 100% passing rate and at least 2 of the 4 fullmarkers are non-chinese so I believe they can’t be transferred from local school.

原來沒有這要求。(在HKU 大學requirement 裡也沒有注明）有IB生Eng b total score 43/45,今年一樣入了HKU law and BBA double major.

Law degree 唔到 Eng A程度，比你入到都難睇得切書，寫得切文。

HKU 的 BBA/LLB 應該係 Business Faculty 負責 admission。

有無這要求都好，英文程度唔夠，讀 Law 係攞來攪。

咁即大學改了？當年個家長在EK post 了港大回覆，只收Eng A。law 同law & BBA 收生標準不同？

You may check on HKU website. The requirements of BBA and Law degree is higher than BA law or LLB Min score us 41. The eng requirement is min of level 4 and 5 in eng B (HL) and (SL)
No English requirements were specific for BA law or LLB  ( min 37)

你認為HKDSE 5**等於IB 乜嘢程度呢？（我冇硏究）不過以IELTS對照。DSE5**只等於7.5左右，我覺得低。DSE也只是second language 啊。
