Think you are on the same point or conclusion as me actually. I am disregarding sl and Hl cos no matter how you look at it, it’s seems to be
- harder for kids to achieve 5** than 7 under ib regardless of level or a* or gce, achieving 5 under dse than etc etc
- harder to achieve full scores under dse than under ib and gce a level
So I don’t disagree with you dse is harder if you are talking about getting the same grades. My point is that the dse system is unfair in a way that all the hard work has been put in and yet grades even after mapping are sort of worth less than the equivalent of ib and gce... why is that the case... it seems that dse or local students are having to spend all this time but in the most constructive way and the knowledge they are picking up are considered to be lesser than gce and ib. And when you compare the actual content you seem to notice the same. I m not suggesting that ib students don’t work like a donkey in order to achieve good grades, but then in the earlier and especially primary years at is, life is a lot easier but their standard except for chinese.
