兩個仔幾大？讀緊咩學校？

你有foreign passport又漁翁撒網，正路會有offers嘅... 否則就要正視/解決問題，之後繼續努力考插班...

大仔英文直資中學，但中文差，DSE中文科可能 fail;  細仔升中。

感覺上，一走了之，便一天都光晒。去到外 ...

原來已經咁大... 大仔遲d可以自己過去讀大學啦！細仔如果英文ok, 試下下學年插IS...

Thanks. I heard that the queue for admission is long. Do we need to apply few years in advance?

多謝提醒，會銘記。

可能一直以來都係老公較遷就我，好多時有啲嘢我想佢唔想，但佢都會盡量配合。所以我的想法變得自私了也沒有為意。

只要不堅持甚麼甚麼水平的學校，就不用過五關斬六將，香港也如是。

The few that I know of only accepts applications for the upcoming school year...not sure if there are others that need to queue for admission.

Can you send 大仔 to boarding school? Then you visit him from time to time? You can send him to your relatives during weekend? 大仔咁大個, 送佢過去先, 唔洗run兩個家.. 細的初中之後陪佢去, by that time 大仔go to uni, 細仔high school? 同老公分開短D? 大仔又可以獨立D?! Not only take care of ur husband’s feeling, 你一個人過去都會miss老公+HK... However if your son has offer fr intl school then I think staying in HK is better. He can apply universities with IB results and choose to go overseas or stay in HK. 文化我就覺得冇乜所謂, 返正讀完大學都可能返HK, unless they love Canada very much! 如果之後stay係Van正常都會融入到culture. 大前提係英文好先, 去到就冇問題, can make friends easily... also u can consider semi private school in Van (it’s like 直資in HK), 以前讀public school D 朋友都好少送小朋友讀返public, mostly private or semi-private. Anyway good luck !

外國的父母都睇校網, 如果讀政府學校, 好區房價買或租都貴, 同香港一樣私校優質d.   其實洗費食住可能比香港讀IS貴。

Do the schools accept according to age or to school year the kid is studying? Since HK differentiate kids in small b and big b.

如果樓主既然肯花一舊錢去讀「優質」IS, 我個人不建議將舊$放在加拿大買樓再揀public school 因為始終public school 比較難保證好嘅大學admission.  去到public school 再難返轉頭番港回流；相反如果入了「適合」嘅IS而又讀得好，反而進可攻退可守可以遲d過去甚至大學入番加拿大大學一樣好

They think semi-private/private schools r better than public n more affordable than private. Similar to hk 直資/私小 vs 官津...

物價上漲,依家多了雙職父母, 可能大多家長想安排小朋友在較少功課/測考的學校, 不希望謹餘的下班後時間都在幫小朋友跟學校D嘢

西溫啲public school係咪好啲？

我在West Van 讀書的, 如參考Fraser Institute 每年的排名, 那裡的private school 也是一般較public school 高。較多當地居民及移民考慮的共有四間: private 的是Collingwood, public 是Sentinel (AP 模式)。另外有兩間IB school: Mulgrave (private) 和 West Van High (public)。
但前二者非IB school 較後二者的IB school 排名較前。
