It is just common sense.
If a student pass exams through the school years by memorising, what kind of person the student is encouraged to be when he/she grow up?
Remember, we are talking about after-school activities, in addition to hectic school work for 10 or more subjects etc. After school time to split between memorising, training for critical thinking, 1x music, 2x sports, family time, homework, revision, etc, etc.
You are entitled to your opinion.If all parents think the same, all kids will be the same.
