其實B 已經由第一志願跌落第二志願，咁正常係咪 random# ...

Every applicant just got one computer generated random number
Just imagine all applicants fall in ONE line to get the interview , those with priority will be put in the front of the line ( staff kids - siblings - NR - kindergarten ..) then the system will go along the line and put each applicant to the school according to his own preference when place available
If your first choice place is available , then u got the interview chance , if not , the system will go to your second choice
After going through all the preference for one applicant then the system will go to the following applicant according to the random number

再舉個例子：A同B都有kindergarten priority, A排500（out of 2000), B排1000（out of 2000).
A的catchment 在SJS, first choice SJS, second choice RC. B的catchment在Bradbury, first choice Bradbury, 無second choice.
電腦會由1到2000咁去睇有無interview俾，會先睇左A（#500）才到B（#1000）.
A嘅first choice SJS已滿，就睇second choice RC, 有位，所以派了second choice.
隔左一堆人之後到B, 佢first choice Bradbury, 無乜人揀所以有位，就派了first choice.

假設有個C，係N無，排200，但佢都要等睇左A、B、同所有有priority嘅人嘅preference 之後先會到佢，假設佢同A一樣選SJS then RC，但如RC都剩返不夠200個interview 位，佢就冇interview啦。

does this mean the interview of priority group(i.e. staff's kid, sibling etc) will happen before the interview of ESF kindergarten student? I cannot find this arrangement in RC primary 1 admission website.

Not necessary, can happen on the same day or even later than those without priority. As long as they pass the entry requirement, even applicant X ( without priority) performs excellent in the interview, applicant Z (with priority) performs good only, applicant Z will rank higher on the list.

This is what I understand in p1 admission before, but this year RC will interview ESF student first, then kids from other kindergarten.  
Unless school will reserve some places for sibling currently in Boxhill and other kindergarten, most place should be taken by ESF student who pass the interview and confirm the offer in first round. Seems the interview date matters under new system and sibling better study in ESF kindergarten to secure their place in primary.

Siblings have higher priority than kinder. I mean it doesn’t matter about the date of interview. Eventually, it is all about priority and random number

不是，現階段Esf central office 已經based on priority based on random number 派左一間學校給applicants ，有人有interview ，pass 左就收果間學校offer ，唔pass 的話，個chance goes to those on waiting list.

I think if the siblings received an interview invitation on a guarantee list, then they will get an offer once they pass the interview.

according to previous posts kids with sibling priority have already been given offers.
whereas kindie kids will have in-class assessment within Nov and be notified of the result on 30 Nov.

NR holder is not yet assessed,  but those studying at esf kinder will get result by end of Nov? I understand NR holder has higher prority than kinder students

I miss that post, meaning kids with sibling priority will know the result before the result for ESF kindergarten student?

i am not certain of the arrangement for NR holders.
