FIS TKO Reception Class

For those attended the welcome meeting today, anyone of you asked the teachers about toileting arrangement？

I went to the girls washroom with my daughter after the briefing, and found there was no tissue paper there. And I wonder if there will be assistants to help the kids out, especially for the start of the term.

No assistance, and there should be toilet paper. Inform the teacher if your kid needs assistance, she maybe able to help.

Thanks for the suggestion.  I did tell my girl to ask for toilet paper, hope that she can remember before rushing to toilet.  =P

The worst thing is that the uniform (we chose dress) does not come with a pocket and the class teacher told us not to bring schoolbag!  So, we can't prepare pocket tissues for her, that's why it bothers me much.

May I ask how many students in reception 1 in TKO?  As I have applied RC in 2020/2021, but waiting list number is over 200, so I am worrying if my son would get the offer.

50 students in reception class in TKO

How do you know your waiting list number?When did you submit the application?

There was rumor saying FIS need to be applied since birth. My son took the assessment last year and is still on the TKO waiting list. I wonder how to get in too. It’s rolling over... RC... Y1... Y2...

At that time we applied at the start of nursery and got assessed in K1 Feb, was told to be on waiting list initially then got offer in April. We didn't take it since we had accepted another school offer already.

Hi, may I know what class you applied for your son? How was the interview process? Play based? Or it’s quite academic and formal?

My girl is in Reception this year.  We applied when she was in PN, attended interview when she was in K1, around Jan / Feb.   

For the interview, its kids only. Parents need to wait outside. My girl was brought to a classroom with other kids for a 1 hr session, she said there were activities like singing, story and free play etc.
