你睇台灣小說，他們當然講台大，因為台灣薪金水平較低，出國不易呀。但是，小說係幻想，升學係前途，不要混為一談。

純學術講，台灣CSIS以台大成大最好，不過在國際上水平就非常一般。如果能進香港三大，我想不到去台大的理由。 當然你唔講學術講政治講移民，另當別論。

再考慮回港工作，如果你去英美名校留學，前途一定不比三大差，台灣就差一大截啦。

台大有啲似香港既港大，清大、交大就有啲似科大，其實無話邊間好啲。我會建議清大、交大既資訊工程，台大既管理、心理。

問題反而係泡台灣的言情小說網得到既印象同實際差好遠，台北既機票平，不如帶小朋友自己去走一轉，住下台大附近，有得一、兩個星期，然後十月搵個週末再去一次，應該感覺會真好多。

講得啱小說係幻想，有啲小說中既「好」野，可能永遠停留係幻想會好啲。去咗可能落差大，會患Paris Syndrome。

究竟，人作重大決定之時，是基於感性還是理性？難講？大概是理性掩飾下的感性？

1. 科大，本科生考研，成功率少於10%。而因內地生拼搏，留校是他們留港的踏腳石，所以，本地生難跟內地來港尖子競爭，想深造？除非四年關在學業裏。而在台大，研究生學額甚於本科，考研失敗率少於10%。
2. 若就業，香港的同業單位少。女兒曾到科學園實習，園內的多半是小公司，靠老闆的人脈和能力推銷，大型做實業的機構相對少。而台灣，新竹科技園縱然不如十年前火紅，仍有足夠支撐行業發展的大小企業，想留台發展，估計也不難。
3. 女兒查了一下，台灣很多在台讀2~3年，在美讀1~2年的雙修學位。而雙主科也有很多學額，只要GPA3.38以上可以申請。既然她以為自己有能力達到，何妨讓她去試？（科大的雙修，多半是理/工科+商管，女兒自參加了科大夏令營修了兩星期商管的課後，覺得BBA有點虚，不想讀，而中大心理沒有兼修的，令她無甚動力爭取更高考績）......
