Which school is your kid studying in now? Local school? Delia has support for English as second language too. Or you can even consider 啟思which is an IB school. If your kid english is not on par, he may be difficult to make friends in IS too.
Those new IS schools are mostly primary schools.

Thank for your advice.
The oral and daily communication is fine for my kid. He can communicate with foreign teacher well. But the written level may be behind the IS standard.
How about蘇淅和耀中 compare with Delia and 啟思？

KCIS and Yew Chung seems better if your kid gets admitted . But make sure he catches up with he english written standards  soon cuz ESF English assessment test is not that difficult already. Otherwise he will be struggling with homework and projects.

I think it’s difficult to answer you whether a school is difficult to get in or not. It depends on the standard of the student and how many applicants. Maybe you just apply a few and see how it goes.

Actually, my son get offer from 蘇淅&耀中. We are struggling which one is better and any other better one can arrange for him.
Otherwise, he is studying in band one primary school. But not sure he can enter band one or band two secondary school. He is 中間人， so we are struggling for such big changes.

Where do you live? Maybe just pick the closer one.  Wonder why people cannot accept band 2 local school but they don’t mind about this in IS.  Maybe government should really remove this banding game in local system.

I think parents should adjust their mindset when they decide to change to the IS system. The local system emphasizes on achievements and academic results while the IS system focuses on developing one's potential and shaping one's ability to learn by him/herself. If one thinks a "switch" to IS is a short-cut to success or a guarantee to university placement, he/she may be disappointed if it does not work in the end. There is no point in finding the "best" school but a "suitable" school for the kid.

其實對於一個在本地小學讀書的學生來說，ESF 的English assessment 不能説容易。
至於你手上兩個offers都是不錯的選擇，論track record, 耀中IB成績稍勝；論硬件設施，毫無疑問也是耀中較優。

國際學校的中學部，不再講Happy school啦，同學之間的競爭佔見，而且不只限於成績，是各方面的較勁。

I think CAIS is difficult to enter. The assessment is not easy.

國際學校中學很多時需要寫作，如果樓主小朋友只是英文溝通可以，英文寫作能力不達標準，那麼將來做功課會相當吃力，學業成績也不會理想。

所以就期望在IS可以在英文方便可以有進步，希望不要再花時間在LS不斷做補充練習，可以留多些時間看書和做運動！
上了中學，是否仍有依個空間呢？

你的説話都很中肯！對於一個英小LS中等成績的學生要轉入IS的確唔易，要入出名的IS，我明白很難，有朋友話不如先入耀中先，讀一兩年，在全英教學環境，應該都對小朋友英文有幫助！
除非你讀開DBS,DGS,St Paul Coedu,否則其他LS的英文程度都好參差，與其留在英中LS都改善唔倒太多，考DSE成績都不會太特出，不如轉校一試！
我都有打算year 10或year 12比小朋友去英國留學，唔知依個轉動是否適合？

我見同學間都有人考到HKIS,澳洲國際和加拿大國際，但我本意係去英國，所以無考上面依幾間，但現在又心大心細究竟係咪應該有更好更自由適合的選擇？

上左中學，IS都超忙，很多初中已要準備IGCSE (十科), 又要做project, 高中又準備IBDP, 校內也開始有assessment, 校外又補習（尢其local 家長）。你不要期望中學會太輕鬆，我見朋友小孩到中學都很忙，好采幼稚園小學都開心過。
