I believe all ESF kindergartens have similar interview passing rate (over 90%). In the end, it all comes down to the random numbers (lucky draw). However, due to various factors, some kindergartens may appear to have better admissions results (especially during 1st round offer):
Hillside: 5 primary schools on HK Island, a place is almost guaranteed if the child passes the interview.
Abacus: Only 4 classes K2 mostly feed into CWB.
WKS: 7/8 classes K2 mostly feed into SJS and RC. However, SJS catchment is huge and some TY kids live in this catchment (Tsing Yi).
TY: 8 classes K2 mostly feed into KJS, BHS and SJS. Appear to more places. However, KJS catchment is huge and most TC kids live in this catchment (Tung Chung).
TC: South Lantau and DB are apparently in Bradbury catchment.
Another thread pointed out that there were 225 kids with priority for 150 places at SJS this year.
i.e. Your address (catchment) matters more than which ESF kindie your child goes to based on probability and statistics...
