Also for the school fee,  Other then the school fee, how much extra spending is needed?  From their website, school fee is around $120k per year.  Just wonder how much is the actual spending each year?

Lol, what do you mean by french accent? So german Swiss will pick up german accent and Korean IS is Korean accent?
Parental involvement is optional, my friend studying there told me she never joined parent activities. It’s up to you, if you are willing to mingle well with the expats parents will be fun for yourself too.

Thanks for your reply.  It’s true that some kids studying in Singapore International have Singish. My colleague’s kid studied there and finally changed to another IS due to this reason.  I talked to the staffs from FIS admission office and found that the staffs there have strong French accent.  So I worry the kids follow this kind of accent too.

I went to the FIS Christmas Fair last year. Some of the students (probably lower secondary from their appearance) who were selling stuff at the booths had heavy French accent and weren't particularly fluent in English. But they are possibly from the French stream.

I hardly saw any Asian faces among the volunteers.

Also, I took a quick glance at the Reception class name list when passing by the classroom during a recent school tour at the Jardine's Lookout campus. I didn't see any Chinese last name.

For Jardine lookout campus, mostly foreigners / mix , some Chinese. Not sure will it be changed after moving to TKO. But even for NAIS and kellet in Kowloon east can still maintain a high proportion of foreigners, so I think probably not a big problem.

I think they probably came from french families. For our kids I would more worry they got canton accents than french accents lol. Maybe the kids with Singlish accents came from Sing family too. That’s why I try not to speak too much English with my child now .

Thx happy feet. How abt ECAs? I saw from another post that there are not many ECAs (or in-School ECAs).. and not many inter-school activities with other IS so FIS is very secretive to other IS.
