local kinder to international primary

My kid is studying local school K3 and I want to apply international primary for him next year , should I apply grade 1 for him or pre grade 1 , sounds like the chance of getting in grade 1 is quite slim! But if I put him to pre grade 1, he will be 1 year older than the majority of others ! Any comments ?

After studying in local kindergarten for K3 you should enter year 2 in the U.K. system as they start year 1 after k2

For US system then u can apply for grade 1 :)

The school we target is under US system, I suppose to apply grade 1 for him but the chance of getting in is so slim , so I am thinking if I could apply pre grade 1 for him , though he will be 1 year older than others

He is end of year kid? Depends on which school, some schools got a lot of super big B

Depends on the school policy.
Some schools are very strict and would not allow students to start school one year later.
