Actually I heard about GFCF before and visited some website.  But I think it's very difficult to carry it out, especially my kid also has 3 meals at school.  

Can it be 60% GFCF diet only?  And how long your kid take the GFCF diet?  And how do you feel?  Sorry for so many questions.  And can you PM Dr. Ko and Dr. Trodd's address and contact to me?

Dear chanchanboy,

I think you can start with CF diet as it's easier to do it.  Soy milk is a good substitute and also rich in calcium like cow milk.   For the GF diet, try to talk to the school and see they can allow you to pack lunch  and snack.  The trick is that you can ask the school for the menu in advance and make special arrangement if the food is not suitable for your son on that day.  I'm planning to do so when my son starts new school term after the summer holiday.

Just my two cents worth...

According to the nutritionist we met last year, caseine takes about 3 days to clear from the body, but gluten takes about 6 months.  That means, a GF diet should be all or nothing.

My kid was on GF for 4 months and we gave it up.

It is definitely worth a try.  Once my son was changed to take soya bean milk instead of diary milk, there was significant eye contact increase just in 2 days!

Is it I can go to Dr. Trodd and tell him I only want CF?  Or I can take soya bean milk instead of diary milk myself right away?  Sorry for so many questions since I really want to try but don't know exactly how.

You can just stop diary milk and change to soy bean milk right away and tell Tim Trodd your decision in your next visit.  Since soy bean milk is less in Calcium content than cow's milk. He will probably put your child on Calcium supplement.

Dear chanchanboy,

You don't need to visit Dr Trodd if you just want to put your son on the CF diet.  Simply stop any casein food or drink and observe what the effects in a few days.  

According to my last conversation with Dr Ko,  she attended an Int'l Paediatrics Conference a few months ago.  A research showed that Asian has low level of enzymes which help digesting milk in the body.  White people have relatively top level of enzymes. No wonder they can drink milk as much as water every day.  According to the fact on the research, obviously that the reason why allergy symptoms were eaily found as early as new born.  Reflux, eczema, diarrhoea and constipation are seemed to be the early signals of food allergy.

By the way, I'll form a supporting group with parents who are using biomedical treatments to their kids.  You're welcome to join our gathering if you want to share expereinces with us.

Dear chanchanboy,

Are you talking about "Isomil"?  This one is recommended by Dr Trodd but my son doesn't like it.  He's now drinking calci-plus manufactured by Vitasoy Company and a non dairy milk named DariFree ordered online.  Let your son try Isomil first if he's not so picky on milk.
