We went to WP playgroup and nursery we love it, staffs are caring and friendly. The teaching is quite structured too. Have field trip every month to park, supermarket, star ferry etc. Picnic to beach, 迪欣湖。All trips and transports for trip are free. The downside is the Schoolbus service, is expensive and service not good ( not surprising because the students load is small)

請問學術程度ok嗎？英文程度又如何？因為想囡囡第時讀IS，所以比較著重英文程度。
WP校園係咪比較細？我之前爬過文，有人話校園同課室好細好迫，令我有點卻步。

I don't think their classrooms are too small in WP, we were very impressed by the music teacher when we attended the play session and therefore we chose the school. Later on though we changed to the Kowloon tong campus and I love the fact that they are a standalone building with outdoor area. Classrooms are normal size and they are just fine for the little humans especially there are only like 12 of them in our class!

另外，你兩間都讀過，請問除左環境之外，你覺得kln tong同WP嘅學術或老師或staff方面有無分別? 會唔會kln tong好啲? 因為我見大部份人都recommend kln tong，而我又見你都轉左去kln tong。
仲有，因為我曾打過去兩個campus問少少野，WP個staff好似唔係好helpful咁，但kln tong就好nice同主動詳細解釋。其實好小事，我唔係介意，亦可能只係個別事件，之不過令我想問多少少過來人意見。

They do have an outdoor area in WP but it's part of the complex so it's not exactly part of the school and not exclusive to the school, pretty sure it's a shared area.
We changed to Kln tong before we started school, so I don't exactly know much about WP, one of the reasons why we signed up with WP was because the principal was Australian and my husband (also Aussie) really liked her. We changed to Kln tong because it's closer to home. The WP principal later on resigned before school term started and so the Kln Tong principal also manages the WP campus now, from what I can see they have the same activities around the same dates, (picnic, sports day, excursions) probably partly because of that reason?

I can't say much about the teachers at WP, I just remember them to be very friendly at the play session. At Kln Tong I attended a phonics workshop for the parents( they run it so the parents understand how phonics is being taught at school in different years) and I thoroughly enjoyed it! The teaching styles are very interactive and the teachers are so good at getting our attention!
The kids get to be involved in all sort of activities like lion dances, easter bonnet parades, xmas concerts, singing in front of the crowds, their artwork get to be displayed at an exhibition etc so the kids are certainly taught to be confident.
My son's mother tongue was very much Cantonese , and he never used to participate much in playgroup (at a different school).

Since he started at Anfield last Sep he has certainly blossomed, coming home with new knowledge everyday and his first language has shifted to English instead

. I can't ask for too much more from a school like this! Can only say I'm so glad we have made the right choice for him!!

黃埔老師同admin都好nice. 佢地學術上我非常滿意, 特別是教phonics。如果你想知多d, 佢地每朝8點半都有assembly, 你可隨時去望下。

雖然是shared area, 但平時很少人，所以學生很多時間在那個playground玩，老師成日同佢地一起在那裏吹波波，真的很開心，已經好過很多只困在商場內的學校。
這麼近你可以join下playgroup看喜不喜歡先，我當年一join就愛上了，之後一直讀到nursery, 也有人不喜歡學校覺得太多free time "吾扺", 所以看自己的要求。
Anfield不是太selective, 我見有一兩個英文不好或行為有少少問題的也收了，但之後都很大改善，但如果你學野快老師也會配合你，當時在nursery老師教counting, 其他人還在學1-10，老師見我女學得快就教到佢count 到20了。反而我現在在ESF k1, 仍教緊1-10，但我女話自己在校巴巳跟大姐姐學了count 1-100了

所以小朋友在不同地方就學到不同的東西，不一定要spoonfeed的

係呀，我星期日下晝去，都竟然得一個小朋友同大人玩緊，可能因為嗰度上左一層，無咩人去。
我都打算報Autumn term試下，只係等緊佢release，請問知唔知會唔會好full，好難報?
其實我都覺得要試下先知適唔適合，不過我囡囡而家已喺第二間上緊，亦都幾滿意，所以先想了解清楚先轉，始終anfield係以term計，一報就兩個幾月，唔係一個個月咁計。Anyway，我都打算試下!

Thanks for the detailed sharing indeed!! I am very interested in Anfield too as it seems from my research that all parents have very good comments seems it provides the best english environment to prepare for IS. Just wondering the Chinese level- do the children have some exposure in N class? Also, in terms of the class structure, how much of the time is play and how much on focused teacher teaching? Personally I would like to look for a school that values play - as I believe free play is important for young children to learn. Thanks in advance for your sharing again!
