I can tell you coz my child graduated there.  One word "excellent".  Reasonable amount of HW in upper forms and no HW in lower forms.  Balanced school life between work and play,  students enjoy going to school.  Nice environment, many good teachers and nice staff.  Many expats living in HLY send their kids there, so very international.  In lower forms, as much as half of the class is non-local and very internationalised, students from Europe, UK, US, China, Singapore...etc.  Most graduates enter other International Sec Sch including ESF, Kellett, and so on.  My child learned a lot there, now in ESF.

Hi Probowler,
May I ask why you don't let your kid continuous to study in ICHK but transfer to ESF? I know ICHK has a secondary school in Sha Tau Kok too?

If consider Taipo district, u can take a look at Norwegian International School too. Style is v similar to ICHK Hong Lok Yuen

Pros: near to Tai Wo KCR station

Cons: no secondary school yet, but most graduates find good school. I know ICHK Sha Tau Kok likes to accept it's graduates

May i know how many years your kid study there? After they graduate there , they have enough ability to apply other IS outside? Coz my kid is Cantonese speaker. I am afraid that she cant apply any other is after graduate ...

I would like to know if the kids are holding overseas passports will have priorty for an offer? I would like to apply Year 1 for my daughter in this year but she is 100% local..

Yes ICHK-HLY prefers those children with passports other than or, in addition to, HK passport. That said, they have space for PG and Nursery and selected years in primary. Affiliated secondary has space too.
