TC 16年8月先開，呢一兩年有位唔出奇，遲多幾年仲有冇咁多位就冇人知了

Heard that very very low. N they hv special eye slight to Chinese family instead those kids r very very fluent in Eng. Some needa buy NR with a view to get a seat in esf primary / independent

May I know where did you find the figure of the very very low admission rate?I cant find it as a TC parent myself.
The only official announcement from the pincipal letter is only this:
"The K2 admissions season is winding down, though students are continuously being offered places as they become available.  We are pleased to share that almost all of our students were successful at Primary and/or PIS schools. "
Those classmates I know got confirmed offers either in the first round / second round.

ESF 小學 Y1 收生要求，可在 website 睇。

Applicants must demonstrate through interview and assessment that they are capable of engaging with an English medium curriculum.

Applicants learning and social skills, together with their ability to cooperate with adults and other children, will be taken into consideration.

At interview, students’ potential for language learning will be explored as well as their ability to engage and succeed within the curriculum being offered at the school.

所以，ESF 不是只看英語水平。




英語水平只是基本，非 ESF kindergarten 甚至讀 local kindergarten 並不代表人地英語水平低。
ESF 從來冇話 ESF kindergarten 直升 ESF Y1，
所謂 priority 是 priority to interview ，不達 ESF Y1 收生要求唔收，十分合理。
比 Y1 reject ，等於唔達標，就係咁。
當然，小朋友面試當日的狀態也十分重要，

I can be wrong so please don't quote me on this. I heard that the wording in this email is quite misleading.. apparently there are kids in reserved list (which means interview is successful but there's no space in the school)..

I really want to find out how many k2 kids got actual offers (not in reserved list)

There is no official figure yet as the admission process is still keep going.
Wether the esf kinder students are in reserved list is based on the random no.but not which esf kinder they come from, so I guess it is not fair to judge the school has high admission rate or not by this number.
If it is what you care for, then as far as I know....among the TC applicants who applied the same esf primary as mine, around 1/4 or less fall into the reserved list and the others are all in the guarantee list. This proportion is probably similar to other esf kinders.
But I want to specific that the K2 graduates from TC kinder this year have actually received around 5 months education in esf kinder before the interview held only, so I guess no one will surprise even the admission rate turn out to be lower in this very first year. (Again please wait for the official figure coming up later).

Yes it's the same as WKS kinder, the first year the admission rate is quite low ? 70%, now it's > 95%.

I heard that the admission rate for TY is lower than previous years.  Anyone heard of that?  I wonder if most (if not all) TY and TC gratudates can eventually successfully receive ESF primary offers.  This is of course one of the most important factors that I have to consider before allowing my kids to go to their kindergartens.  Can anyone share his experience.  Thanks.
