十分值得，可以多點了解 architecture 學生上課形式和功課量。

曾經見過一個美國女仔分享，佢上完 summer course (in another u) 覺得好值得，因為佢肯定自己唔適合。

我個小朋友曾經考慮過，但係喺university exhibition 度俾exhibitor turn off, 因為考埋牌至少十年，條路太漫長！

以我所知，first degree 三年, 加兩年實習，再讀master degree 兩年，
就可以考牌，你的意思是考牌也需要至少三年時間?
為何exhibitor 會turn down 他呢? 還是學生本身不希望投資這樣漫長的時間?

我個女嗰時得14歲，聽完已經好驚，所以冇再研究，唔知exhibitor 咁講啱唔啱。

我又覺得任何一個要考牌嘅專業，degree 畢業加兩、三年實習才可以考牌真係閒閒地，考牌要考幾次至過都係閒閒地（而且考牌門檻越低考牌合格率越低，我所知會計就係咁。Architect 考牌合格率係好高的）。醫科 first degree 6年啦、讀 law 都要讀多個 PCLL 才可以開始實習。Architecture 讀完 first degree 可以先實習一年，已經賺緊大學畢業生嘅人工係好好了，專科畢業人工又高些。

結婚生仔如果有影響嘅就邊一行都會，我就覺得作為女人結婚生仔唔應該影響 career path ，只有你對個行有無興趣先至會有影響。女人做則師可能要考慮是否適應晨昏顛倒嘅 studio life ，同埋是否適應需要有些時候工作地點在建築地盤。

You have said what I wanted to say.

My daughter was fully aware that it is going to take her a long time to get her professional qualification. And she thinks it is fine. She is in university now (overseas university), Year 3. Last year she came back to Hong Kong to work as an intern for four months. Her salary was already better than many u grads in other disciplines.

But students should be aware that the work load of architecture students is really huge. Architecture students need to make models, and that would suit someone who is artistic and enjoy doing handy jobs. Model making is very time consuming and can be expensive. The largest model my daughter made so far was one huge full scale wooden structure that can support 4-5 people. The books are quite expensive too. This might be a concern for some families.

Yes, you are right.  As I'm concerning overseas students, my son is studying overseas.
He plans to study undergraduate course, then comes back to HK for master degree.
