It really depends on individual teachers I think. The past two years my experienced in TY was quite good. Both K1 & K2 class teachers are very caring, my daughter loves them a lot. They also gave good feedback and recommendation to me during parent teacher consultations. Unfortunately, the TA I experienced in K1 was really bad. She didn't have heart to take care of children at all. All my daughter's properties were properly labeled but she always brought back others stuff, where teacher said they couldn't find them. My daughter also didn't like her as she was non responsive to children requests, and attitude was poor towards children.

That's what I am worried about, coz I didn't get the feeling from the teachers that they are very welcoming...but then again they properly had to put a straight face on during the play session. My friend's son kept saying he wanted to go home in the beginning and the lead teacher (an Indian) asked if he's always like that. My friend was a bit dumbfounded...he's child, of coz he would have moments like this. When I had the school tour I saw quite a lot of Indians and probably south East Asian teachers, I don't mean this badly but I wonder if they would be raised in the same environment and have the same mindset as those with a western background?

Teachers are good so far I came across. Well, as I recall, not much interaction from teachers with me during my daughter's play visit a few years ago. Most teachers were only observing. We were told to be on waiting before attending the play visit hence I did not pay attention to teachers as I thought we wouldn't have the chance.
