香港回加拿大一問

小baby半歲多，預計10年後回加拿大讀書，而家諗緊返Montreal定Toronto。
如Montreal，讀IB係咪唔太適合？
ESF、Canadian、French 邊一間會較適合？謝謝

如果係我，我會選French, 因為 Montreal and Toronto 嗰邊差不多係法文世界，識法文著數啲。

I have the same plan to send my kids back to Canada when they're older....my family is still in Montreal but I just don't want them to go to French high school and I hate the crazy cold weather there...

If u plan to go to Montreal then French language is a must, however local québécois have their own unique accent, therefore, it's still challenging when u get back even your kids learn French in hk

As for Toronto, French is only a second language in school, and my husband likes UT better, so my plan might be staying in Toronto

My suggestions: Put your child in any IS that you like (no worries about IB at the moment). Focus with English learning (thus English IS) but keep learning Chinese (you will thank me later). Once you return to Canada, put your child in French immersion school (if you want your child to become bilingual).

if the child hasn't learnt any French up to 11 year old, can the child still pick up in French immerse school?

If a parent has had 3 years of education in English, the child may go to an English school in Montreal. It has an English school board too.
