I have 2 boys in AISHK, one in year 6 and one in Prep. From Prep to Year 2 is still in early childhood section. There is not much homework apart from Chinese. If you have Chinese background, your child would most likely to be put in Chinese Literature (background) class. The school has changed the Chinese textbook to a more realistic level this year. However, if you have no Mandarin background in the family, after school tuition would be needed. As for other subjects, although the do not seems to have much homework but i do recommend a bit of extra homework / practise at home. Honey moon period will ends in Year 2.In year 3, term 1, all students will participate Naplan, school will give out mock paper for the student to practise, and you will be really surprise when you see the questions and your child's result at the end of the year. |
