Year 8 - Year 9 的選修科目数目

順八下、大家的仔女有多少科?　我就１６科（連PE）、我就覚得太多了。　ALTHOUGH只是皮毛、可以応付咩especially for someone who is average？

Mine year 9. Around 11 subjects.

RC MYP Year7:
English, Chinese, Maths,
Science, Individual & Society,
PE, Design & Technology,
Art/Music/Drama (in rotation)
8 subjects only, seems more realistic

可能我比較伝統D,以上D科目就好似「正常」D。　不知其他ESF　PARENTS有無同感、都覚得現在ESF的科目数真係多左D。　Cant really see the advantages of doing so many subjects for first 3 years.

我覺得拆出十幾科都有佢嘅好處，對十幾個唔同老師，assessment出黎嘅結果更客觀，亦方便家長更容易找出不足之處和弱點。况且人人都係返5日，都係用咁多時間上堂，讀少幾科又唔覺會輕鬆左。

説得有道理。　最近先発覚有些学校従９年班就開始予備IGCSE課程、将科目数目減少一点、又好似不錯的選択。

所以我好滿意目前Year 7試多D科目，往後先減少嘅安排。即使幾叻或幾hea嘅學生，總會有強項或弱項體現出來。但日後陸續轉行MYP後，可能會和現在RC模式接軌 ，是福是禍，只能走著瞧。

RC MYP 有些科目其實包含幾科，如--
Individuals and Societies comprises elements of a broad range of traditionally separate subjects, such as:
    Geography
    History
    Economics
    Politics
    Philosophy
    Sociology
    Anthropology
    Psychology

實際情況是YEAR 7會在第一單元學WEATHER、第二單元是HK HISTORY、第三單元是MAPPING、第四單元是POVERTY。有些似我讀書時的SOCIAL STUDY。好處是每個學期集中學習，不會分得太散，同一時間上十幾科，學習會真的好廣泛。

但你們的學生是主要留在同一課室上堂嗎? 我們每天大概四節DOUBLE LESSONS，同學要轉去老師的課室。

孩子現在也是難民般一天走五個不同地方，Lost and NEVER found 問題特別多。

For those high flyer, they teach IGCSE at year 9. The student will take exam in year 10. For eg, math subject who are in set 1 will be studying IGCSE now.

Well, the school I m looking at is a non selective one so I dont think students are all high flyers.  I think its just a matter of what the principal thinks which way is better.  If I can decide, yes i'd rather they start preparing from Y9.

My gal's is also a non selective school. But they will categorized students into different sets. 拔尖補底

我就比較在意English, Mathematics 同Science, 其他比佢自由發揮，自己亦冇本事兼顧所有科目。
