Yeah, band 1A students would apply, but most would rather go to La Salle, Queens, or St Joseph. 1B sure have good chance. Many 1C could also get in.

Given (1) the "package" (popular term these days!) that WYK can provide for both students and their parents (e.g. a huge campus, long-established alumni network, etc.) and (2) higher weighting on academic performance (as against pre-2013/14 admission where much emphasis was put on selected candidates' interview performance "alone" (around 300 out of 600 applicants been selected), it's highly doubtful that many "1Cs" could get admitted by WYK at S1 discretionary places allocation stage.

個人意見:

名氣, 配套 (校舍): B1B-B1A

公開試表現, 入U率 (近三/四年): B1C-B1B

自行收生要求: B1B-B1A

It's a game of musical chair. 300 interviews, but many B1A may have other schools as 1st choice. Even B1B could be accepted by other B1A schools instead of WYK. Then, B1C would have a chance. Don't get me wrong. WYK is an excellent school.

Don't get me wrong either!

I have just been skeptical re: the notion of "MANY '1Cs' could also get in" at discretionary place allocation stage for WYK, as this could adversely affect the decisions of prospective WYK S1 applicants or their parents at this stage.

Whether or not WYK is an "excellent school" is another matter as different people might have different views as to what constitute an "excellent school".
