You should check with your school's gift policy as every schools are diff. Personally I did send small gifts.

Agree. Pls check the school policy. We are not allowed to send any gift to teachers in any form.

i would think not the same way 利事 is deemed inappropriate.

My kid gives Christmas cards to his teacher, teaching assistant, the teacher of the class next door and the teachers look after the schoolbus kids, to express seasonal wishes and gratitude. I think it's okay as long as the cards do not mean anything ill-intentioned.

I also made some cookies for the teachers and kids in festive seasons.

No, most schools in Hong Kong do not allow gifts with monetary values. Check with school first to avoid embarrassment.
