My girl is studying in local kindergarten.  I didn't apply for IS last year coz I want to try local school first and change to IS if need later.  However, as IS is more suitable for her, I'm thinking to go IS immediately after her Kindergarten.  But it seems insertion to Y2 is really difficult for most IS. I've applied for ESF but is still waiting for the interview.

Is the chance low for my case? any suggestions? thx for help..

The year 1 wait list have priority before you, so your chance of getting a spot is after them, however, as many kids should have settled in year 1 and dont want to change to another school in year 2 so you still have a chance and it depends on which esf u applied.

I'll consider other IS , currently I'm thinking of NAIS coz it's a new school and maybe chance is higher.

For others such as RC, ICS, SIS, it seems chance is very low.

You already missed the mass intake time for is. Don't just apply Esf. It's wait list is too long. You probably won't even have a chance for interview. Try NAIS , Hong Kong academy

I guess so.
In fact I apply months ago through email but no response so far. No email and nothing. Is it normal?

I've just called NAIS. They said no space now and the waiting list is long so chance is low.

建議你用 search function 找出有關每間IS之前討論, 每人要求不同, 对是否good亦各有睇法, 每間IS亦各有特色

Thx. I've called both CAIS and THINK. Both asked me to send the application form.
Per NAIS, 70% has to reserve for non-local students which is the policy for international school and thus chance is low.  However, per Think, there is no such limitation.  CAIS also seems to have many local students.
Is there any "70%" rule for IS, as what NAIS told me?

yes, IS should admit no more than 30% local students according to Education Bureau.

Quite confused, that means CAIS and Think also got 70% non-local students?
But I read from post that CAIS got many HK students, means >70%.
Think too.
