I don't think people need to be concerned about how the average LS parent sees IS students and parents, but judging from the number of replies to this thread it seems the concern does exist, at least among some IS parents.
In another thread I discussed how sending one's child to an IS education may have certain social consequences and this thread just demonstrated it. Some said they don't really care about such consequences because they don't live according to other people's expectations and social norms, in which case they really shouldn't feel bothered by the scenario described in this thread.
