Yeah hear that complaint often too from "tiger parents" who wish to go international route for.education but their mindset don't match up.

Exactly what she wants? Learn calculas and quantim physics in K1?
Fact is: a few of the kids in the same IS kindergarten is going to stanford and cambridge in 15 years' time.

Ha ha. Greedy parent. Believing that she can get the best of both worlds.
What she expect her child can benefit from merely 2-3 years?
Language is all about immersion. Long term immersion. 2-3 years is too short to have benefit.
I know a lot of people put their children in LS and IS kindergarten at the same time.
They might see that their children seem to be more advanced in terms of english level when they are in P1 (when compared to their peers). However, most children will lose their advantage (of being "better" in english) once they are in P3.

If you target local and just want to attend another IS kinder to learn English, I suggest you to take some english based interest class like music, Legos, sports etc.

This sounds viable to me. after switching to ls, you can keep up her English at home and send her to local schools that has non chinese students. I know people who do that but mind u chinese is also very demanding even in local English primary.

My son goes to IS. But some of my fd's send their kids to local kinder and go to kbck in the afternoon. So far works quite well. KBCK no uniform, no homework buy 100% English environment. You can consider that.
