seems KJS is more difficult to get in compared with RC, as KGV is one of the best school of ESF ... It is common belief that which ESF secondary school a child goes to depends on which primary school the child is studying in, I used to think so too but in fact it is not true.
A KJS pupil may or may not proceed to KGV because going to which secondary school is not dependent on which primary school but which catchment zone the pupil resides in at the start of Year 6, and the secondary school catchment zones are different from the primary school ones. For example, a child living in Olympic will fall under KJS for primary, but Island School instead of KGV for secondary.
