Did you get a email ? It informed that the results will be sent on 12 Feb and receive on next day.

I think the letters are out.  I heard a boy saying non stop today that he will be going to year 1 RCHK.  Bet his mum  must have been very happy about it and that's why this boy couldn't stop talking about it to anyone that would listen.  lol

My son was on waitlist too last year and was offered a place at the end of June.  Very lucky!

Is that 160 successful applicants chosen from 600 ?

Any idea how many nomination places given out this year (previous is 50 nos.) ?

Teaching quality and students behavior can be upkept to a good standard in recent years ?

Heard that the quality of junior primary student at RC is better than before. Don't worry! The nomination right gives a chance for interview but the school doesn't give up the standard.

seems KJS is more difficult to get in compared with RC, as KGV is one of the best school of ESF

We are lucky to get offers from Bradbury and RC as we don't have any priority at all.  Still struggling on which one we should choose.

It is common belief that which ESF secondary school a child goes to depends on which primary school the child is studying in, I used to think so too but in fact it is not true.

A KJS pupil may or may not proceed to KGV because going to which secondary school is not dependent on which primary school but which catchment zone the pupil resides in at the start of Year 6, and the secondary school catchment zones are different from the primary school ones. For example, a child living in Olympic will fall under KJS for primary, but Island School instead of KGV for secondary.

Yes you are right, but at least the ESF primary kids can choose their favorite secondary school if they want and just need to move to the proper catchment, while RC's cannot...
