Problem is there is no common understanding.
With two different curriculums, they aren't really comparable. The AP scores of schools are difficult to compare since students have the flexibility to take AP courses or not. IB scores are more comparable and there are detailed discussions on this board. I have a thread that compare the results of all HK schools (http://www.edu-kingdom.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=2846118)
With different level of Chinese, that makes it even more difficult. If one student is good at Chinese but average at English and another is good at English but average in Chinese, then who is better academically? Their Chinese will be heavily influenced by which school you choose. Is having two first languages a must or a nice to have?
What kind of school community and environment would you like?
I would suggest you nail down some of these decisions first. Once you have done more research, I suspect you won't be comparing these two schools but rather a subset of schools that are more similar.
