有些外國大學在港名氣大，但學科的國際排名反不及一些香港人少聽聞的高（亦可能是我孤陋寡聞）。你會如何選？

事實上要看作交換生的目的，不同目的，有不同考量！

不外乎以下目的：

1。利用暑期或者一、兩個學期，既讀書又開闊視野。
2。去一些海外名校作鍍金之用，在CV上多個賣點。
3。個別學生為將來物色研究院鋪路。

不同目標，會選不同大學。

1。任何大學都可以，因為交換成績只計學分，不計GPA，所以讀書非主因，交流才是目的。
2。好清楚吧！多年前，有學生因交換時成績好，中途轉咗過去讀，近年少咗。
3。唸研究院，要看教授及專科專項，學系排名及教授名氣更重要。

希望其他高人再補充。

如果目標是3, 當然選subject ranking 高。但個人愚見，無論是那個目的，最終還是要實實際際地考慮搵工時，僱主會點睇。我不熟悉現今商界僱主的看法，會否側重一些popular 的外國大學？例如英、美、加拿大....等港人較熟悉的大學？

好難說，我都請教個幾個行業的高層，個個不同，但有下面的發現。

1。如果特別喜歡某幾大學畢業生，自然請該校學生而非交換生。

2。部份公營機構會特別要求要有交換生經驗，但不強調那些大學，因為未來工作要駐外。

3。跨國公司，傾向1，所以一定選海外名校，或者本港三大，而且兩者都要一級榮譽。他們會看重Internship 多於 Exchange。

太細節的事，不表了！

如果跟據你的發現而推論，除非一級榮譽，否則都係揀 選海外名校好些，對嗎？
現在的學生都幾辛苦，披荊斬棘入到大學，又要chur gpa, 又要找intern, 又要plan exchange！如果上埋莊，更加忙上加忙！聽聞大學approve exchange 的申請後，學生要自己與exchange school discuss all the arrangements. 即係一個「忙」字！不過，從另一角度看，這個process 可加速他們的成長。

謝謝你的回應！雖然唔計GPA, 但將來會寫落CV, 所以才考慮揀subject ranking 高但港人未必熟的，或是ranking 低d, 但港人熟悉的大學作exchange.
仍未決定，你有沒有高見可分享？

Trying to use the exchange school's name to lend weight to the cv is unrealistic. Your GPA carries much more weight to prove your academic ability. For the sake of an interesting cv, it's much better to choose an obscure place and back it up with a story. Speaking as someone who has experience recruiting graduates coming out of many top universities in the world.

如果選商科 Exchane. 選商科勁的那些大學！

利申：
阿仔今年選咗5問都是北歐大學，不是名校，不過好玩，可以睇北極光，白色聖誕，四季分明，同學親善些！不要問我邊間，我不知道，只知道有瑞典，挪威及丹麥。

我明白，其實她的gpa ok, 可以揀到中上游的大學for exchange, 既然gpa 唔差，所以exchange school 才揀好d。可能太貪心了一點！
不過你的分享很有道理！會與女兒再商量！

The photo (posted before) was taken by my daughter while trapped indoors in a blizzard outside Stockholm a few years ago. My daughter's Swedish mate even has a sledge pulled by dogs. While HK is 窮得只剩錢，our young people should be encouraged to seek for their fairy tale memories for their future days.
