        (星島日報報道)政府將於一六年八月起，分十三年撤銷資助英基學校協會，換言之，明年九月入學的第一班（Year 1）的學生，將為最後一屆獲政府資助的學生，有意入讀者須於下月一日起經網上入學申請系統報名。
        

        英基現時設有十四所中小學，下月一日至三十日將啟動網上入申請系統，供學生報讀第一班及第七班（Year 7），家長亦可於下月三日起，申請五十萬元個人提名權，為子女獲得優先面試機會。英基透露，去年約有二千二百人申請入讀第一班及兩所私營獨立學校，近兩個人爭一個學額。

You don't pay $500,000 up front, instead, you pay $50,000 to buy an interview. If your child fails the interview, you will get your $50,000 refunded. If your child passes and you decide to take up their offer, then you will have to pay the outstanding $450,000 right away. After accepting their offer, you will not get your money back even if you subsequently choose not to enroll your child.

hi daddy, am I right the application of nomination rights must be made at the same time as Y1 application? if I am looking for few years later P1 application,  can I apply nomination rights now?

I believe you could only apply for the nomination right for the current year, for such questions it is best to ask ESF themselves :)

No one knows, but the fees will probably increase by at least 20% because that is the percentage of ESF's income currently covered by the government subvention.

Besides taking out the subventions, the refundable capital levy also replaced by non-refundable capital levy is also need to considerate!
