申請大學主修Physics

My sonis an IB student having genuine interest in Physics.  His academic results are very good.  He plans to study Physics in the universityand then pursue PhD and research career afterwards.  He will apply the place of universities inthe US, the UK and Hong Kong.  Couldparents provide advice on the following:

(1)
Among the three top universities in Hong Kong (i.e. HKU, CU and HKUST),which one is better in terms of the teaching quality of the degree programme inPhysics?

(2)
Between Oxford and Cambridge, which one is comparatively easier to beadmitted for studying Physics?  Anyrecommended colleges under these universities?

(3)
Please recommend a few top US universities which are good at Physics andcomparatively easier to be admitted.

如果你個仔，　做到上面份ｐｈｙ卷，　就報ｏｘｆｏｒｄ


香港ｓｃｉｅｎｃｅ，　唔容易讀，　入到大學

俾分很緊


美國，　歐洲，　德國，英國外，　日本將來ｐｈｄ　可以考慮

日本物理不差於歐洲頂尖大學

如果俾得起錢，　就唔好留起香港讀大學，

如果錢唔多，　留起香港讀完才伸請外國碩士

香港三間大學都

１．　多大陸人，　大陸教授，　傾向收大陸學生

工作上，　講國語．．．

２．　未來香港搵硏究，　項目難

３．，　大學教席，　是外國畢業ｐｈｄ為主

香港讀完大學博士，　反宜無野撈




三間大學，　中大較好


美國頂尖大學物理系難

因為為香港人設了ｑｕｏｔａ　，　一般人考去美國好的大學

會去英國讀書考

ｐｓ．　幫了一個小朋友，　英國讀完書．英國讀中學，　大學，

在德國讀物理系ｐｈｄ

Bluegene and HIHinsurance, thank you very much for the information and sharing.  Understand that studying Physics and pursuing a research career in this field are not easy, and the return is likely not in proportion to the effort paid.  I've talked to my son about this reality, but he is firm on his plan.  I shall also let him know名大學唔易入.  Thanks.
