If your children have special needs, brand 1 schools will become brand 3 schools. I don't think so called brand 1 schools will provide much help. So, make no sense to compare schools. Only local 'tiger' parents do ! So sad !

It's never weird to have this kind of idea in mind and why asking such a question here resulted being teased as "monster parents invading.." and blah blah...

There are a lot of parents here answering others using "top tier IS", "second tier IS"... Are these top tier, second tier schools the same as band 1,2 and 3?

One should not compare schools linearly . There are many aspects you can compare , say academics , extra-curricular , facilities , etc . Only ants look linearly .

樓主，不論主流還是國際，愉快或趨谷學習，任何一間學校能真正欣賞你家小孩，因材施教，那就是最適合你的band 1學校了

Dear Monster parents,
It is much challenging to rank your children in his/her/their own class/school; and who are the top and the worst students in your class/school. Then, take actions (not just talk only) to defeat those who are better than your children and ignore those are worse than your children.
Being the best student in your school should feel more comfortable than just being a student in the best school (unless you are still the best of the best school).

以我所知，其實LS的成績banding不是在於學校本身，分banding的是學生，所以所謂band 1學校成績好，其實都是因為學生本身比較優秀，很多時真的和學校的教學無關，所以LS or IS都好，school banding真的冇乜意思。
