Well, I was wondering the purpose of making such a comparison. ISA is not an examination like the IBDP. You know, some kids will not take this seriously.  For me, looking at the result for one year only does not give you much information.  Rather I keep track of my daughters' results over a few years to see whether they have improved over the years.

其實學生有冇為考ISA或InCAS做任何預備工夫呢?例如學校有冇mock exam?

I wonder if we should regard such "exams" or "assessments" in international primary schools so seriously? Is it meaningful? For parents to choose schools for kids?

Hmm, VSA published this and was very proud of it.  I don't think the school is ran by "local minded parents"?

Seldom heard of schools comparing academic results among themselves at primary level in UK or US. HK schools like to do this.

From what i can see, VSA's parents are probably the most "local-minded" among the major IS....

I don't think most parents/schools would proud of "better than average" result in ISA.Personally, I only take these data as on of the indicators of my children progress throughout their learning stages.
Of course, schools can refer to the result and make any necessarily enhancement in their curriculum.
Such data reflect the progress of individual child and i don't feel there are any direct contribution from the schools (or reflecting particular school's quality) unless those schools take intensive effort to prepare these assessment.

Last but not least, I DO congratulate to those schools and parents who are excited to their excellent achievement in ISA.

I believe schools taking part in ISA simply wish to gauge their overall literacy levels against international average. I don't think schools or parents will be seriously concerned about the results of individual students unless they are significantly below the average. It is kind of "health check". As long as your kid is within the normal range, who would care for comparing?

Agree.  For schools running IB PYP that are not allowed to have any kind of exams or assessments, the ISA provides a benchmark whether schools are on the right track.

Agree, it is helpful to have some benchmarks to make sure schools are not under-performing or lacking in particular areas

I think it is quite different between established and new schools.  There are no established curriculums for these newer schools to follow and they need these benchmarks for finetuning.
