You mean "wait listed" instead of "call waiting", is that correct? Most IS spots are released back out in May by expat families because that's when positions are offered / confirmed for the ease of relocation. I heard several friends relocating back in May / early June, and are executing the moves in July the latest if they haven't done so already.

My son's school has the deadline for the next term's payment set on July 1, so if there's any last minute withdrawal they are already done and over with. Of course there will always be a few withdrawals here and there, especially in Sept after the kids settles in (or cannot settle in), but the main lot are already set to roll for the new school year.

I hope everything bodes well for your family. Better confirm and get ready for the school that has been offered, and hope for the best for a lucky call from your target school.
