May I know why u choose YC among those 3? Apart from those 3 kinder, I have Tutor Time offer as well because my son is in their PG.

we already paid YC for the reservation fee and the registration fee to secure the spot.  Registration fee is non refundable but reservation fee can be on hold till May 2014.  We went for a play session for Anfield end of October and still waiting for the result letter.  I personally like the school a lot.  We also have tutor time offer in hand as my son is studying in their playgroup now.  But sadly to say, since TT doesn't have primary, it will only be our backup.  Their program is actually pretty good but too bad they are not through trained.

I chose YC coz it is more systematic and they got sec school.  I hv more confident with their school if study all along in it.  Their teachers seems so experienced! One thing I am worry abt is YC only offer me their whole day class.  I do think 2 years old is too young to adapt the whole day school. They are very rely on napping time.  I don't know she could sleep well or not in school.

Do u know whether the english environment of YC is good or not?  I read from EK here that many mamas mentioned the kids' english is not good enough as most of them speak cantonese in school most of the time.

I think you will receive your offer from Anfield pretty soon.  Anyway Anfield kindergarten graduates do not have direct entry to Anfield Primary, even though I believe there is priority.  Given that your concern is through-train and you have already confirmed your offer with YC, I think your hesitation should be between YC and TT.

Both Kingston and Anfield do not gurantee direct entry to their primary school.  Only YC is.
But so far based on what I have heard (not experienced), most of the students can move up to primary school if they wishes to.  I know some Kingston KG students would go to LS, some Anfield KG goes to ESF and other IS.

I didn't know Kingston is not direct entry too.

It does not says as "gurantee" as YC, but I am not worry about it.  Not gurantee but shouldn't be a problem.

Admission To Kingston Primary School
Children who attend Kingston International Kindergarten have priority for admission to Primary One Kingston International School over students who have not attended Kingston International Kindergarten. First priority for entry to Kingston International School is those Kindergarten students who have attended Kingston since Playgroup.

At Kingston Open day, one of the teachers told me almost all Kingston kindergarten students will go to their primary school if they want to. So even though they said it's not guarantee, I don't think it should be a big concern.

0. 讀K其實個人覺得3間都係行同一條路；做同一樣野；考同一批小學；冇乜大分別；
1. 認識一個家長；2個小朋友分別係Anfield同Kingston讀K；佢個人comment Kingston好D;
2.個人經驗Anfield跟呢度其他家長差不多；唔錯；起碼qualified to pass all Year 1 interviews;
3. 我(可能我係100%猜錯??)猜80%Anfield/Kingston/YC K家長小學首選都唔係呢3間；如果驚住到時搵唔到心儀小學；咪揀上小學機會最大d個間；依家咁多International Kindergarten,2/3年之後唔知咩世界；有個backup到時定d(聽聞Kingston小學人地出面未interview, kindergarten家長就要比小學留位費；到時又要人生交义點!?)

好同意第3點！我個人都不是target Anfield Primary，所以不太擔心是否可以直上小學的問題。 現在只是鍾意Anfield幼稚園部的教育方式，打好基礎先。

我都同意第3點。所以幼稚園都選有backup或升小升中機會較大的校學。

我的小朋友讀過Anfield和YC，她在兩間學校都很開心。Anfield的英語環境是比較好，但女兒進了YC後，中文認字大有進步。

其實我都不懂答這個問題。Anfield的英語環境較好，YC的中文較好。想要哪樣，要有取捨。我個人選擇了小學backup，語文反而可以家庭 support。

How long did your kid stay in Anfield before moving to YC?  Which Anfield campus please?

We've been in KLT campus for 1 year before we went to YC.

language 方面 YC一定會 balance 過 Anfield。起碼係 co-teaching。而且 YC 如果 PN 唔開始讀，用外來生身份考入 YC 就更難。所以 YC 應該係最好選擇
