報讀醫科真係唔易,有冇人有申請經驗?Thanks!

兒甥女今年F.6,想讀牙醫/藥劑。今日陪佢同佢呀媽去留學中心問,個負責人話去Australia,冇australianpassport既話,都唔駛諗。去英國既話,好多人爭,學校要面試之餘,仲要個學生有醫療相關的工作經驗。我真係唔知一個17歲既少女,可以點樣搵醫療workexperience,而且申請deadline又是一月,看來都好難申請到。

大家有冇suggestion?仲有冇其他出國家可以去報名?唔該晒!

why not try HKU or CUHK, they just look at DSE results

Faculty of medicine worldwide is very academic selective.  If she can get admitted to Us in UK, I think she can be admitted to HKU.

現在英國對讀醫科的人有限制 比如牛津劍橋一年只收14個海外學生
原因是之後的實習工作簽證已經不可以容易拿到 。以前可以，因為所讀的科目要實習 所以申請一個work experience之類的工作簽證
現在要和每年只有25000個簽證裡面爭 25000係普通工作簽證
所以全部英國大學都收緊入學人數
另外如果讀醫（也包括專業科目比如法律 會計）在外國讀，回流比一開始在香港讀難 所以如果想做3c 最好係香港讀算

If you can show to the admission tutor that you have a strong passion in medicine, you will have a chance of being admitted.
Working experience in health care environment consistently can help show your passion.

For example, if one performs voluntary services on weekly basis to an aged home, or a school for handicapped students consistently for 2 to 3 years, you will have a strong case that you know what is health care about. He may gain experience if he works for one to two months on voluntary basis at a hospital or a clinic. Alternatively, he can take the courses offered by the HKU or CU for potential medicine applicants during summer holidays. He can do a research project on, for example, aids and its latest development.

You can tell to the admission tutor what you have learnt from your services ore researches and how such experience would assist you to become a doctor in the future.

If one has passion, a student of aged 17 should have some experience of working in health environment. The University certainly would admit the brightest students to study medicine. But if you can show your passion, you may also be admitted so long as your academic results are a little bit "lower" than the brightest students.

我家姐唔想個女留0係香港讀書,想個女出去見識下,而且小朋友去年在法國遊學左兩星期,佢自己都想出去讀。佢IELTS雖然有7,考內成績中上,但要考HKU or CU既medicine真係唔知入唔入到。
BTW, 我聽朋友講,讀完UK d Foundation,唔保證你入到醫科。讀完Foundation要再考試,考唔過,又係入唔到,浪費之前讀Foundation既時間。仲有冇其他出路???

　　牙醫及醫學課程一向是尖子首選之一，除了香港大學及中文大學，港生可選擇到海外升學。位於西班牙馬德里和華倫西亞的聖保羅大學及埃雷拉大學，今年首度在港招收一四學年的文憑試考生；牙醫及醫學課程分別需修讀五年及六年，學費連生活費折算港幣每年約三十五萬元，課程以英語授課，修畢後可免試直接註冊歐盟牙醫及醫學相關的執照。

　　由天主教教會創辦的聖保羅大學及埃雷拉大學，兩校醫學院的牙醫及醫學相關的國家學位文憑課程，首度在港招收一四學年的新生，應屆文憑試考生可先憑校內成績報名。現時兩校的學費一年約二十萬港元，連同生活費則需每年三十五萬港元，而牙醫及醫學課程分別需修讀五年及六年。大學設有獎學金，頒發予在課外活動或學業表現突出的學生。

For your reference， many of the non jupas medical  students in hku got 8 for IELTS。  Straight As stars for GCE is a minimum。  my colleague's daughter had 9A stars in GCSE but failed 拔尖。 （need 11Astars）。 she got all A Stars in gce except for one subject in which she only got an A。 she repeated gce in the following year and she got all AStars。 she finally got admitted to hku medicine。 Need to achieve at least 44 for IB students。     If your niece only had 7 for IELTS and is even considering foundation year， chance is slim for HKU。

我終於google到一個yahoo blog ,有兩個中國人學生,講佢地在西班牙讀醫的情況,間大學好似唔錯咁。我在大學網站搵到佢地香港個辦事處,約左星期六上去問,希望幫姪女搵多條出路,圓佢讀醫既夢啦。

你問十個高中生，怕扯有八個都話好想做醫生。
但恕我直言，年輕人有目標係好，但都要諗下自己 "夠唔夠班"。
如果只有 "中上" 成績，其實都好 mun 水。
唔好亂幫佢舖路，等佢有不設實際的期望，
一係話比佢聽現實係點，叫佢將自己成績推高 d 先好考醫科，
如果真係點讀都唔夠分，就應該叫佢腳踏實地，諗下自己成績可以入邊 d 科好過。

我兒甥女報左牙醫課程,未知收唔收。

個學校代表講解得好詳細,又播左條電視台採訪學生及上堂情況既片我地睇,兒甥女同家姐都好鍾意間學校。另外,大學係天主教辦,呢點令家姐更放心俾個女去讀lor。

學校本身又有大學醫院和診所,個課程包含長時間實習,唔駛個學生自己去搵地方實習。如果兒甥女順利畢業,即時獲歐洲牙醫執照,可以0係所有歐盟國執業。個學校代表仲話,學校會幫畢業生搵工同開診所。
