Actually I am a private tutor for two children long time before.  Both of them finally switched to CIS primary section.  And their parent is the owner of a listed company.  I also learnt that most of their classmates were come from very rich families.

傳聞中 CIS 又真係收有錢人。我另外有個朋友叫我千萬唔好入 CIS，話啲小朋友屋企勁有錢，放學係由保鏢接

但係又有人話 CIS 好睇成績。

不過而家啲國際學校學生背景好勁。有日我朋友去 SIS 接放學，有個國內家庭帶小朋友去面試，我朋友聽到佢地話係搭私人飛機來港面試 你話係咪勁！

Hi sleepingsiubobo, may I know which year you child is born? My boy is born oct2012. i called the school recently and they say that it's already impossible for my son to get into their 1-year old class now, and even the 2-year old class is very difficult with only 16 more seats. I'm so depressed now, didnt realise i should hv applied to this school earlier... I wonder if its still realistic for me to apply now?

Are you applying for Sept 13 or Sept 14 year 1 class? If no vacancy for year 1, you should  apply for year2 class quickly, and if still no vacancy, go for kinder directly.

My boy is July 12 baby, I applied when he was 4 months and it's considered as very late. Guess I got the offer only becoz some didn't want to pay for the capital levy. That means u am in by waiting list. You may consider apply 2-ye-old class, more seats I thinks

I called up the school and it looks like the number of seats for 2-yr old classes are the same as kindergarten, so the staff told me that it is very difficult for me to get any seats now even for waiting

But my friend got the 2-yr-old class offer thus year though she hasn't accepted it at the end. She has studied PG. Kingston is not a must, you might also consider other Kinders such as TT or YC or Anfield.
Add oil and good luck!

I still believe not all Kingston PG parents will accept the offer because of the captial levy. Just submit your application even as waiting list. Then try Anfield/Yiu Chung/TT same time, they are all good schools.

The bilingual environment of Kingston is the aspect which I like my son to join the school. But the only thing I worry is the family background of the kids studying in this school if most of them come from wealthy family. In my case, I am just a normal family and afraid if my son will be discriminate by the school. Any parents can share about this?

No.... We are normal family, too. I know some Kingston mama here and all r very helpful so have a very good impression towards the school so far. A friend with her kids from Kingston saying that the parents structure at Kingston is fine. It's not a very rich school and her school fee is cheaper than YC?
Don't because of the family background affects your decision. So long as you can afford the fees, it should be fine.

What do you mean by wealthy  family? I think most are from "upper middle class" rather than "wealthy family".

agree, as most middle class people can afford the school fee and capital levy, and as the admission policy is first come first served, the school itself won't discriminate against the "not so wealthy applicants" by giving offers to wealthy ones only.

I checked the school website for 2-yr class info, but of cos later discover they hv 1-yr PG too. Becos he is born in oct, he can only apply for PG 2013 as a small boy. Anyway, I will still apply for waiting hoping to get in next year!

You should never think this way. This mindset will limit opportunities received by your child. Keep hopes high!
