My child got an offer from ICQM even though my family is not Christian.  I think ICQM is very concerned about whether parents would have negative attitude on the religion and whether parents are open minded if one day the child would like to become a Christian.

十分同意，重點係音小已把自己两個宗旨音樂及基督教理念講比所申請人聽，申請人不是基督徒或不懂音樂並不重要，但是他們要你們認同他們辦學的理念

应该是幾分鐘,長短不是问題,最重要是試探家長的意向,同一个问題问幾千个家長,逐个見喎,点会見你十幾分鐘呀！？

唔知大家有無人係校長in?

不過我还是有興趣知道究竟香港有無人会一心一意喜欢入讀这類型的音乐学校；而吾係想知道音小会收D咩人呀！？香港人真的是那么現实？爲何又会噤多人比小朋友学音乐呢？

音小係較著重音樂既一般小學, 唔係只學音樂的學校, 你對佢了解有幾多?

家長面見部份比小朋友面試環節更容易挑選合適的家庭組合，而我地很明顯係唔夾。

當然知道音小不只是学音乐啦,著重音乐的小学亦不只是这一所,但只有这一间叫音小,講明学費包幾多堂音乐課嘛！我吾識人在这所学校讀,當然吾可以稱之為了解啦！如你真的好清楚,我都希望你可以在此分享呀！謝謝你！

就算係基督徒,老師都会好介意家長是天主教还是基督教,仲会问你如果孩子要轉投向基督教会如何处理,又説天主教徒会拜聖母,他們根本不明白天主教和基督教都是信天主,而天主教只是敬重聖母而不是信或拜聖母,更吾知道天主教会讓孩子上主日学。

唯一最令我尊重这学校的是：所有全职的老師均是基督徒,是百份百；相信天主教学校亦都必百分百可以請到全校教职員都是天主教基督徒呀！所以佢地有濃厚的宗教色彩是可以理解的。

After reading all these posts, it appears to me that you do not really appreciate or even like this school.  Why do you just drop it.  You have tonnes of choices.  Not all private schools are of your cup of tea.  Your question, in fact, could be revised to be anyone will whole heartedly apply for (APS, SFA, KTL, DBS, SPCC, TSL, ....) to give up central allocation.  To answer, you have to do some homework to know more about the school you have applied.  I spent two years to do my reserch before applying school for my son last year.

ICQM do offer my son a place for the coming academic year.  Frankly, I applied only a few private or DSS schools (only 5 in total).  All those schools I applied for my son, I do love them and hope for an offer.  I am so delighted that ICQM offered a place for my son and originally prepare to have it for him in September.  Just two days before cloing of central alloation of Gov't or subsidized schools, my hubby request for participating the central allocation to see if we can have an offer such that my little daughter can skip the painful p.1 application exercise.  Praise the Lord that He choose a subsidized school for my kids which is the one and only one choice being filled-in.  Still, I think ICQM is a very good school for my son.  Yet, just for the benefit of my little daughter, I give it up.

I think the teacher is posting a good question to the parents.  This is so practical that the family have to face.  They really want to know how the parents handle the situation and their attitude towards this difficulties.  Also, the teacher do understand the difference between Catholic and Christian.  What he/she asked is not wrong afterall.

不過学校可賺多D申請及留位费喎！

唔好成日話學校賺呢d錢啦。每年要動用好多人力物力，又要用好多時間去處理唔去的人，call有心讀的人，我覺得音小係有心辦學的。
