If you listen to sir ken's talks on education, he mentioned something registered well in my mind. He said ADHD cases are proportional to urbanization in the states. He suspect that the more "city" the place, the more rigorous education and more psychiatrists, more pressure in school work, hence more ADHD.

He thinks many ADHD cases are simply children getting bored.

I am not sure he is right, but that gave me a thought.

I am not saying his theory is correct. But  he did not say there is no ADHD, he is simply saying he suspect many of the cases were wrongly diagnosed because of school pressure and the children simply bored.

Ken Robinson do not give answers. He gives you something to think about. (If I remember correctly)

This exactly confirms Ken Robinson assertion that some kids are wrongly diagnosed ADHD because they were bored.

And if this is the case, and the child start taking medicine, the damage made to the child's learning is huge.

He also said ADHD medicine is to de-sensitize the child. Children can learn well because of their senses and if we starting giving them medicine that removes their senses, the result is terrible.....

Like you said, Ken's assertion is not based on scientific methods, but rather based on observations.  I am indifferent. I have no way to judge right from wrong. I just find Ken's observations and assertion interesting.
