I applied CAIS as a backup since I know this school is quite good and comparatively easier to attend, but I was wrong......it's really very competitive this year, my friend even could't get a chance for interview, and my case is.....my son got rejected.:;pppp: lucky that I got 2 offers from other schools....what a relief!!!

In fact, if your kid can pass the interview that somehow means you kid is suitable for that school. If they reject your kid, maybe that school is not suitable for your kid.

Yes, my kid only got rejected by this school, he has been interviewed by 5 schools till now, even he couldn't get a spot from some schools, but he passed the asessment and was put in the waitlist. A teacher of my son said my son is really not the kid CAIS look for.....since my son is very out spoken and active, they more prefer obidient and concentrative type.

is your son on the waitlist of other schools? the competition of getting a spot in IS is really keen nowadays! Back up plan is really needed, it's quite risky to put a local kid without holding any foreign passport in those 'real' international kindergarten like woodland, small world, sunshine house, highgate house etc....., if they can't get a seat in any IS, it's quite difficult for them to go back to local stream.

反而想知點解冇得in? 職員說有二百幾人申請, 都唔in得晒？他是天主教徒？奇怪…

我朋友還要是基督徒！但佢真是收到信話第一輪無得in，而直到而家都無消息喎！

我反而無宗教。所以我唔知佢哋用什麼準則.....

但我班的家長說今年是500多人申請，不是200多人呀！

Yes, that what we heard too.  The lady said there were about 500 applications received but they only invited 200 kids for first round interview which conducted in two saturdays in january.  There were only 100 seats to be offered.  During that time, the lady also said not sure if there would be second round of interviews and when that  would be.
